This collection of mele offers these answers. It is there... born in a father's everlasting love for his infant son... in the aloha and generosity of friends from near and far... embodied in esteemed elders and exalted chiefs... manifest in the mountains, streams and ocean that support our lives and lifestyle... at cherished landscapes of Ko'olauloa, Kailua, Maunalani, Maui, Läna'i, Waipi'o and Waiau... witnessed in faith, spirtuality and deference for the Divine forces to whom we give all credit for the world in which we are privileged to exist. David, Kale and Matt have profound gratitude for these intimate and deep relationships that constitute the waiwai of their lives and inspiration for their music.
