Q: I am confused by the measurements. What is the distance from the front of the seat to the back? What is the distance from the floor to the seat area? What is the height from the seat to the top of the chair?

A: The seat itself is 22 inches deep (front of the seat to the back of just the seat). The chair overall is 39.76 inches (from the front of the seat to the back of the whole chair). The seat height (floor to seat) is 20 inches. The height from the seat to the top of the chair is 21.3 inches.

Very concerned that the back is not sturdy and might break easily. The back also has an unusual gap between the armrest and the back. See pictures below. Love the color and style disappointed that it is not well made

hard chair and back doesn't fit right leaving an unsightly gap between the back and the arms
There is something wrong with how this chair was manufactured. When it’s completely assembled, there is a very noticeable gap between the armrest and chair’s back. it is a manufacturing flaw and makes the otherwise beautiful recliner look very bad. The fabric is beautiful, but this flaw is unacceptable ..... and the recliner is very hard and uncomfortable-and I could even accept that if the back fit on properly.

There is something wrong with how this chair was manufactured. When it’s completely assembled, there is a gap between the armrest and chair’s back. It doesn’t fit perfectly together. The back slides in and no bolts, so there’s little chance to not put it together correctly. I even had a friend who refurbishes furniture. He said it was assembled correctly, it’s just how the chair was manufactured. It’s a perfect color, but for the price, go to a store and buy assembled.

Do not buy this product.
The chair looked great and was firm which I liked. However, it smelled very bad like it had toxic chemicals. I sat in it for 30 minutes and my eyes were burning from the fumes. After some research, I discovered that the chair contained a substance banned in CA because it was carcinogenic. Really? I can’t believe that NYS allows this.......

It looks nice. It’s not comfortable to me necessarily. It works fine to cozy up with a book though. My husband enjoys the large sides around the head. For me, it’s difficult to push it into a reclining position. Maybe it will loosen up. I’m also 5’4” so maybe I just am not y’all enough to get good positioning. I kept it because it looks so nice in my space.
