A: The Sealy Airial All-2-Fresh 2-Stage Crib Mattress and Toddler Mattress does not contain polyurethane foam. The mattress consists of a lightweight airy polyfiber core with an extra firm layer on the infant side, which is wrapped in cotton. Great question!

The title says it all. I bought this bed on 9/18 and woke up with my first bite on 9/19 and have been dealing with a bed bug infestation ever since. Before I purchased this bed I had absolutely no concerns about waking up with bites on my body or my children’s bodies. I just had my home sprayed for treatment on 10/20 and 2 days later (today 10/22) I accidentally ripped the cover of the mattress only to find the infestation came from inside the mattress. See images attached. I excitedly purchased this mattress for my toddler who was transitioning to a big girl bed, and of course since it was her first night sleeping in her room, I slept alongside her. The following morning I woke up with massive welted bites on my hand. The week following the purchase of this bed my kids and I both continued to wake up with large welted bites. I believed they were mosquito bites at first because I hadn’t considered I could have a bed bug problem. But after I noticed I wasn’t finding mosquitos flying around anywhere, I decided to start looking around the corners/seams of my mattress for bed bugs and thankfully one of the bugs was out crawling on my bed. Captured and flushed the thing. But still continued being bit. It’s been 2 days since pest control has sprayed and I continue to find evidence of bed bugs including their droppings, and their exoskeletons. I am having to get rid of ALL of the furniture in my home. My couches. My bed. My other child’s bed. All of our bedding. Pillows. Rugs. All because I purchased a mattress from target. I felt safe purchasing from target as they seem like a well credited, well managed company but I guess not. Google “bed bug problem target” and you will see forums on Reddit where previous target employees have come out talking about how the management at their location knew there was a bed bug problem at the store and did nothing about it all while employees were complaining about the issue. Guess it’s happening across the country and I’m going to have to stop shopping at target. INSPECT ANY CLOTHING OR BEDDING PURCHASE YOU MAKE FROM TARGET. Bed bugs are an absolute pain to kill and eradicate completely once they are in your home.

However, we can confirm that the production facility where your Sealy mattress was manufactured does not have bed bugs and further that Sealy Baby products do not have bed bugs. The specks you observed and photographed on the material inside your mattress are a natural component of cotton batting used in many mattresses on the market. The brown specs are neither bed bugs nor remnants of bed bugs. The image you provide of a bed bug was not taken on our product. Rest assured, it’s safe for any baby to sleep on a Sealy Baby mattress.

I really like this mattress with the 2 sides and it is actually quite firm. I love the feel of the bamboo mesh and that I can flip it over to another side. My child has been using this for months and I have not had any concerns about it being too soft or too hard. It is just right and so lightweight it is easy to lift up like the pic. I am buying another one for my sister who is due in a few months. Very affordable price for all these features. Fits my crib very tightly there are no gaps at all.

I really wanted to love this mattress. After eight weeks of our baby sleeping on it, the middle severely caved in making it unsafe for an infant to sleep on. Since it was past 90 days of purchase, as we received it at our baby shower, Target would not refund us so we were left having to purchase a new mattress. The mattress feels high-quality, but the middle sunk so bad that our baby could not roll from stomach to back, making it unsafe for her to sleep there. Would highly suggest purchasing something else.

Way too soft for infants

This crib mattress is way too cushy and my infant formed a divot in the infant side. I flipped it over for him to the toddler side and it is also extremely soft and it feels very cheap to me. I used a cotton sheet and it buckles the mattress as if it’s no more substantial than a pillow. I will be returning it and buying something else.

I’m very impressed with this mattress. I found crib mattress shopping very stressful, with so many different options, price points, and considerations. Personally, I wanted something that had some waterproof functionality but was also breathable. I love that this mattress is waterproof on both sides, but specifically has the soft and breathable cool bamboo mesh knit infant side in addition to the Staph-Gard cover on the toddler side. I haven’t seen any other mattresses that have two different surfaces like this, at least at a reasonable price point. It gives me comfort knowing that my infant is able to be on such a breathable surface. Functionally, the mattress is a snug fit in our crib and is very light. Our baby has not had any complaints and I recommend this mattress :)

I inherited a baby crib from my sister and wanted a new mattress to replace hers. I researched for quite a while and ended up costing this Sealy one after much research. The reviews were great and I agree with them. The mattress is appropriately soft, easy clean, well made, and has NO fumes. It does not feel or look cheap like many other baby crib mattresses.

We recently switched out our little ones crib mattress to the Sealy airial all-2-fresh crib mattress and we're very happy with it. This mattress comes with a waterproof barrier, is made for infant and toddlers, and is tested for hard chemicals! I really like that it is made without harsh chemicals and it's a firmer matress made for toddlers. It also fits my son's crib snug which is comforting to know he can't pull it up. I definitely recommend this crib mattress!

Our 5 month old was is just finally moving into his big boy crib and this was the perfect mattress for his little self. To get him to sleep he thinks he needs to be held and this mattress was so comfortable that we can climb in with him till he falls asleep. It fits perfect in our crib with no gaps. It's a good thickness unlike other mattresses. It's water proof so no worries about the baby leaking threw to the inside of the mattress. It also works for a toddler bed when your ready for that transition.

I love this mattress! It seems very comfortable and my toddler immediately said this is so comfy when he went on it. There is an infant side and a toddler side which is so convenient. You can tell it is waterproof which gives me peace of mind. It fits our toddler bed perfectly and the side is very clearly labeled so you know what side is infant. Great mattress!

This is one fancy crib mattress. I say that because it is different from any other. First off it has two sides and grows with the baby. It has an infant side and it is more firm. The other side is the toddler side and is more soft. It was right on the size and fit in the crib as it is suppose to. It also has a waterproof barrier that doesn’t allow mold and mildew to grow in and it’s waterproof. It’s nice to have a piece of mind knowing these bad bacteria’s can’t grow. The mattress it’s self is a high quality with nice materials.

I really like this mattress! For my first, I had a Newton mattress. This feels comparable in a lot of ways (though not totally breathable) but I really love that it flips to something specific for toddlers. Other mattresses I've used have a toddler side and an infant side but you can't tell which is which! This one makes it easy - the sides are noticeably different and meet the needs of the stage your child is in. My kiddos seems to sleep well on it, but to be fair, he also sleeps well on the floor, a pack and play, the car... anywhere. To me, a mattress at this age is more about meeting the needs of the parents than comfort levels for kiddos. A great option! Sorry the pictures aren't great - I had limited time with two little ones. I was trying to showcase how easy it is to tell the two sides apart!

Perfect fit for our crib! Love the dual sided features and breath ability and the ease of cleanup for accidents as well. My son is sleeping like a baby and you can tell how comfortable he is! Mattress isn’t too loud or crackly like some of the mattresses, made of foam and all made in the United States which is a huge bonus for us! Absolute fans!!!
