Q: What chemical is this treated with to inhibit dust mites?

A: I just received the mattress cover and there is nothing on the label that indicates what the chemical actually is. It just says it is waterproof, anti bed bug, and anti dust mite.

Q: Is there any stretch to the cover? My concern is that since my mattress is 12" and this encasement accommodates 14", the encasement will not be snug and be wrinkly.

I love this! It goes all the way around my mattress, I ordered a king size, it’s a little big, I don’t have the extra topper on my mattress so that’s probably why. If you have that extra part on top of your mattress I think it would fit perfect. But I love it. Haven’t spilled anything on it yet to test out the waterproof but fingers crossed!! It doesn’t smell, the quality is great.

I live in NYC and I'm a little paranoid about bed bugs. All the other covers I looked at had reviews about them being too noisy or causing people to overheat. I was nervous to buy this, but I really needed something. I am happy to say it is hardly noticeable on my bed--not noisy at all and I haven't had any issues with it making me hot at night! The only change I feel is peace of mind.

This is not waterproof!! My son peed and the peed went right through it and stain my mattress. I thought I put it wrong so I switched it and he owed again and same thing happened. Waste of money.

Appears to be good quality, but the initial smell is quite bad. Hopefully it smells better after I wash it. The instructions say to take it out of the packaging for 48 hrs prior to use to allow it to fluff after being vacuum packed, but who needs a fluffy mattress cover? I suspect they just don't want to say that you need to allow it to off-gas before use.

Upon opening the plastic vacuum sealed package, I was immediately assaulted with a horrible chemical odor, the closest scent I can think of is ammonia and nail polish remover. I had to put it in my trunk to bring to a ups store. DO NOT BUY

Fits my 14” pillow top perfectly. Seems like a decent quality. No complaints here. I plan to put a padded mattress cover over top of this so I probably won’t know for awhile how well it holds up after being washed but I know from working in hotels just to wash these encasements on a delicate setting and never dry in the dryer, just hang them to dry.

I bought it in queen size. I have one of those thicker pillowtop mattresses. Aside from needing help to lift the mattress, putting the cover on was easy. The zipper has a double border to keep dustmites from creeping through the zipper. I have no complaints.

The fabric is 100% cotton but the batting and the backing is polyester. I am returning it because I do not want any polyester in my mattress cover. The person who sold me my mattress said that polyester against the surface of the mattress will cause it to pill up. Don't know if this one will or not but I prefer all cotton. Otherwise, it looks like a well-made product.

Just what I was looking for...it's a quiet, comfortable, clean-looking barrier between the mattress and sheet. The complete enclosure means that it will stay put, unlike those mattress protectors that just wrap around the corners. I easily fit a twin mattress and the bunk bed board inside with plenty of room to spare. If you're on the bottom bunk, it is much nicer to look up to a white mattress protector than the open slats of the bunk bed board. I marked off one star for being a little too big and baggy and for the price tag being a little high. But the quality is great and I think they will last a long time. Oh, and they come vacuum-sealed and without a smell.
