handle on the top is very poorly designed as far as heat resistance he goes. and the way the top is contained well open is sure to ruin the beautiful paint job

My last 3 small grills were “smokey joe knockoff’s”, half the price and lasted just a few seasons! I finally splurged and got the REAL GRILL! It is made way better than the others! We ❤️ it!!

Have used to grill steaks, fireman’s chicken twice and some other things. I have had no problem keeping the charcoal hot. Just keep the two vents open or take the lid off for a few minutes and you will have a hot grill. I take the time to thoroughly clean everything, inside, outside, grates using hot soapy water and Dawn dish soap. It removes the grease and cleans up everything great. This grill is portable, sturdy, made well, and works great once you learn how to keep the charcoal hot. Highly recommend this great little grill!

This is my second Smokey Joe and I am just learning how versatile they can be. The prep and cleanup are simple and it is great to be able to shut it down as soon as you are done cooking. There are some meats I will only use this to prepare so it is great to just pack it up and go!

Folks, Weber is the only one I go to for BBQ. Their durability, design and ease of operation is why I do not buy knock-off brands. I recently bought a Smokey-Joe so that my mother could enjoy what I can do on a grill.

The Smokey Joe is perfect for a quick dinner for two. It's portability with the locking handle makes taking it with you a breeze! I really like the burnt orange color.

We love our 14” grill we have an outdoor griddle which ok for some things but we might as well cook burgers in a frypan. Our Smokey Joe is great it cooks everything to perfection it’s big enough for the three of us but small enough to take on the road with us. The locking bar which keeps the cover in place keeps the grill together during transport. An added benefit is the grill is small enough to wash in the sink after use.

Number two. I have another in our Travel Trailer. These are so good! Now we have one at home as well. It sits beside our Weber gas grill.

I bought this grill to see if I wanted to primarily use charcoal for grilling out and it has not disappointed me. I love it and have decided to look into what they have in a bigger model. If your looking for a little pick up and go grill don't hesitate, buy this little grill. It's worth it!

Great small grill, the locking lid is an improvement over our previous Smokey Joe. Works great and travels well in our RV.

Easy to assemble, very compact and easy to carry with the handles snapped together as shown in the photo... my only problem was moving the lower vent, as the fit there was very tight and the vent is stamped from very soft aluminum. Also easy to tip over and empty onto the ground. I suggest a good pair of welding gloves to deal with the heat while turning it over, etc.

The lid and cooking grate are looser than they should be. The cooking grate has to be centered or it tilts into the bowl. My previous Smokey Joe did not have this iissue. I had it for over 40 years.

Love my Smokey Joe grill as it's the perfect size for tailgating and cooking out on the fly. This is the second one I've owned. The first one was well used and had a couple of dents as it didn't have the lid top bar to hold it in place. So I'm very happy with that feature. Here are the pros and cons that I've noticed during the half dozen times I've used this grill. Pros: Kettle is well designed and very high quality, handle is also very sturdy, love the bar to hold the top down and to use to next the top during cooking. Cons legs are a bit flimsy and could be designed to have a bit more rigidity, also they are attached to the body of the grill with wing nuts. I think there has to be a better way to make that happen. Ash tray is also very flimsy and really only catches a small amount of ashes. I would think a bigger and more substantial tray would be a nice feature. Maybe one that could have a disposable aluminum tray to easy of cleaning up. Overall I love the grill and would buy it again.

This is perfect for my wife and I. Heats up quickly, even with less fuel, grills food as nicely as the larger grills and less waste.
