A: I read elsewhere that they weren't. A disappointment as I had previously gotten one but hadn't used it yet. I ALSO read that according to the directions, you are supposed to completely clean the inside, reach time you use it. Otherwise, grass can build up and cause a fire! Yikes! You might want to investigate that last bit further!

So far I love it. Have to get used to using it. It’s really easy but very new to me. Instructions are simple. Only problem I had was it was shipping in only in its own box. Not your fault but the delivery Service left it in front of my garage in the pouring rain and the box was so wet that the box fell apart while removing the fryer. I would rather have had it shipped in another container Like I said it was the fault of the Delivery Service Thank you Mary Lou 😊

CALIBRATE BEFORE USING.
CALIBRATE IT BEFORE USING IT. Put an oven thermometer in there and set it to 300 deg. In mine, I got 350 deg. Setting 350 deg gave me 400 deg. I've only done a couple things in the oven so far, but it seems like a nice unit. Entire thing gets pretty hot, so ensure it's not up against a wall, and don't leave anything on top of it.
