Q: Am I the only one that has a terrible time cleaning the baking pan? It seems like it is very porous and things just settle deep into the pan and aren't on the surface to clean off. Very strange, I've never had a pan like this.
A: Same. Requires too much cleaning.
submitted byasvinp - 8 months agoA: I used it once to make pork chops. The drippings from the chop are permanently stuck to the baking pan. I don't think this should happen on the first use. I tried soaking, baking soda and vinegar, baking soda and peroxide. I soaked it overnight and scrubbed like crazy and I finally put it in the dishwasher. Nothing would touch it. I would have lined with foil but the manual says not to use foil. Finally I emailed the company we will see what happens. I am truly dissapointed. The pan should be non stick. I would be emarrased to return it but I cant keep it in this condition.

submitted byBizkits n graavy mmm hmm - 6 months agoA: This is an untrue statement by Gourmia. I had the same issues & it does not clean well at all! I would not recommend this product for that reason. The inside also is very difficult to clean. I did complain the coating was coming off my brand new baking pan and they did send me a complimentary one after I showed my receipt. However the new one became hard to clean again. And yes, it’s definitely not non-stick.
submitted byDnice - 2 years agoA: I use aluminum goil. just for easy cleaning
submitted bySunshine - 3 months agoA: I've experienced the same issue. I'm looking for a replacement drip pan due to the gunk that won't come off. If you are buying this, make sure you cover the drip pan in foil before first use.
submitted byVek350 - 2 years agoA: We have not experienced this

Q: Do we need to unplug the oven to turn it off?
A: just bought mine and plugged it in for the first time. As long as the display os on, there will be noise. Wait 10 minutes, display is off and noise is gone. Debating whether to keep it or not.
submitted byolt - 9 months agoA: No after 5 minutes of inactivity, the unit will turn off

Q: is the tray stainless steel or does it make from something else?
A: According to Gourmia's answer to a previous question "The Fry basket and Oven are stainless. The baking pan and crumb tray are aluminum". However, a magnet sticks to every piece of metal inside and outside of the oven that I bought in January 2022 and to all trays included. A magnet may stick to some types of stainless steel but, to my knowledge, not to aluminum. Therefore it seems that all trays included with the GGTF7900 are steel of some sort. Time will tell if they rust.
submitted byBW - 2 years agoA: It is aluminum

Q: How many quarts would this be? My daughter has a 4qt basket air fryer want to get her something bigger
A: Gourmia- 23.9 quarts must be a typo! That is almost 6 gallons. Bigger than a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket!
submitted byBeleszove - 10 months agoA: 23.9 quarts

Q: Will a 9x13 pan fit
A: Unfortunately it is too big
submitted byGourmia - 2 years agoBrand expertA: I just bought this today and was dismayed to realize that the internal dimensions are 12" x 12", so no, a 9x12 pan doesn't fit in it. Am very disappointed that my baking pans won't fit. Currently I'm trying to decide whether to keep or return the oven because of this.

Q: What is the best way to clean the basket and cooking tray? Can they be put in the dishwasher?
A: That’s what they told me when I called. Trust me you will never be able to clean it properly using that method and anything else will ruin the coating.
submitted byDnice - 2 years agoA: It is best to wash by hand and use warm soapy water and a non abrasive sponge.

Q: You (Gourmia) answered a question with interior dimensions of 11.5" width and depth. Also stating in another answer that it fits a 12" personal pie. I'm guessing we'd have to remove the crust before baking the pizza? Please advise.
A: It fits a 12 inch personal pie
submitted byGourmia - 3 years agoBrand expertA: You have to understand that a 12 inch personal pizza is not 12 inches, Just like a 2x4 isn't 2 inches by 4 inches any more.

Q: I just bought this, took it out of the box, plugged it in and it started humming. Even when it is off it is humming. I have it unplugged b/c I don't want to hear the constant noise. Is everyone having this issue, or did I get a bad one?
A: You are hearing the electronic cooling fan. As long as the display is on you will hear it
submitted byGourmia - 3 years agoBrand expertA: I just called the company, the fan will stay on for 10 minutes and auto shut off until you touch the menu again.

Q: When I turn the dial it seems to not select the menu items with each physical click. Sometimes it takes 2 clicks other times to 3 or 4 to get it to go to the next menu option, is that normal? Or did I get a bad one. Thanks!
A: Please contact Gourmia customer service.
submitted byGourmia - 3 years agoBrand expertA: Contacted them and told me it was normal. Seems odd but I guess that's how it works.
