Breville The Smart Oven Air Fryer Compact

We love this item. This is just a replacement for the first one we bought 7 years ago. We needed an all-around item, since we lost everything in a hurricane. Worked great, but the fan is starting to go out.

I had a Breville Mini smart oven and absolutely LOVED it, wish I’d have bought it years sooner. So, when this Smart oven came out with the Air Fryer I jumped right on it. I wish I could return it, quite frankly. While I do use a number of the features, I use it a lot for plain old toasting. Who knew toast could take TEN minutes?! My husband and I both like our toast on the darker side and even ten minutes doesn’t achieve that. We just get sick and tired of waiting and repeatedly hitting “a bit more”. If it weren’t for my husband loving the air fryer function I’d pull my old mini oven out of storage and dump this thing.

I do not like to cook, so I use this oven for everything I eat, practically. It cooks very well and fast. I like the air-fry feature the most. Vegetables come out crispy and sweet.

I have a Breville oven that is not an air fryer and it is nowhere near as loud as this one. Haven't used it much since purchasing. It air fried pizza nicely.

I like the size as it's about the same as a larger toaster oven. It has all the functions of an air fryer plus regular toasting and oven capabilities. It does take longer to air fry food than any package setting though. I would rather have this than an ugly air fryer though. I did purchase a heat resistant mat to set under it and I'd advise managing sure you have 10-12" space above it as the top gets very hot

Looks great and extremely versatile. I do agree with some reviewers regarding burnt plastic smell initially. I ran the air fryer a few times and after several use the smell eventually went away.

This is complete fraud. There is no way that these influencer reviewers got the same product I got. The product I got has an extremely chemically plastic smell. I have run five burn-off cycles, without any food, in two cycles I had a ceramic dish with some plain water to create steam ... It still smells absolutely terrible. They clearly used the cheapest plastic materials available to make this toxic, headache-inducing piece of garbage. Shame on this company for wasting peoples' time and with no regard for their health.

I purchased this a week ago only to discover the air fryer basket does not fit and the basket itself is discontinued.

I have made so much with this already from Greek style chicken to desserts that I saw online. It is so easy to clean because there’s a catcher at the bottom for anything that drops. Also, my food has never tasted better and I feel so much healthier with this air fryer. Thank you so much for this I am absolutely obsessed. The size of it is also very perfect because it’s very small and compact! Its a great size. In comparison to other air fryers, this one is definitely better in regards to flavor size and appearance.

This is my third Breville. This time around I decided to go with a smaller one. Love the style and size. Two things I don’t like: 1) it’s very noisy and 2) the manual sucks. Pictures with no explanation of how to actually set cooking features is frustrating. I’m sure I’ll figure it out one day. But it’s definitely something they should change.

I have been trying mostly sides and toast/bagels to get a good feel for how this works and so far have been impressed. There is an app with tons of recipes that tells you how to cook each item (time/temp/setting) so makes this high tech and easy to learn. I’m excited to use this to replace my air fryer and toaster oven and free up counter space.

The capacity is actually quite surprisingly big. I was able to fit a whole personal pizza in it! Pre heats great and overall super helpful in the kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautifully designed air fryer. The build quality is great like all Breville products i have used. The double deck makes it easy to cook different things at the same time. The only bad thing is that the air fryer heats up on the outside to the extent that I’ve accidentally touched and burned myself a couple times. I wish there was more thought put into the deisign when its a stand alone device that will mostly sit on countertops where i could easily see most people doing this.

Really looking for an all-around convection oven / air fryer; however how do you trust the reviews when they are ALL influencers; who make their living providing good reviews so they get "stuff" or even paid. Hard to know if this is a good product or not - only one gave a warning about the heat level on the outside and warning of where you place the oven. Helps to have Real reviews. Don't know whether to purchase this or not. No real data and no one answered my question -- sooo......

i replaced and upgraded my old one. it's a simple convection oven. this is the new model that comes with breville+ app to inspire you to cook more. It's compact if you have limited counter space. i recommend the Breville cutting board to put ontop of the oven as the oven gets hot. i tried it at max temp becasuse i needed to heat some frozen waffles and it worked fine.
