A: While in operation, the top of the Breville® BOV450 Smart Oven® Mini can get very hot to the touch. It is not recommended that items not designed for the oven be left atop it while in operation.

We love this toaster oven so much, we bought it twice (and after the first one lasted twice as long as ovens like this are expected to)! The only thing you might miss is an air fryer feature.

Breville is so overrated! I previously had a Cuisinart Chef’s classic and it was the perfect toaster oven. I traded for the smaller Breville mini oven and I’m so disappointed- toasts horribly and takes forever to warm up food. Customer service is not good.

Due to illness Target employee looked up materials on this item. Said Stainles steel. So I bought it. A couple of months later looking up a cooking instruction and found on page 7 Prop 65 warning. Asked company and they gave me a Hassel in their product. Finally they gave me the materials. i.e lead and arsenic as a few to mention. If you are interested in your health BEWARE!

I bought this mini oven because I use it to toast bread and bagels in the morning plus taquitos. I love the simplicity of it like just pushing one button to toast. I just need to set up the darkness and the number of toast inside. I also like the small size because it doesn't take up too much counter space.

This is fabulous. I have had mine for a few years now and is used almost everyday for something. I have cooked sweet potatoes, chicken tenders, frozen chicken nuggets in it and they come out amazing. Gets very hot! Never once had a problem with it!

I don't understand how it would fit an 11*11 pizza. That was my main reason for purchasing this oven, and it is so much smaller than described. The depth inside, from the back of the oven to the glass door is 10.5". It is physically impossible to fit an 11"diameter pizza??? Also, the exterior dimensions are wrong. The width is 15", not 17".. if it were 17, it would make more sense that an 11" pizza would fit. Did this product shrink??? I'm so extremely disappointed. I checked so many sites and measured many times to make sure I get the size I want, and this is what I get.

We're sorry to hear of your frustration. Our 11"x11" pizza pan will fit inside of the BOV450. I think you'll find that this is true once you've put the pizza pan into the oven.

I actually purchased this a year ago. We wanted to use it mostly for toast, some broiling and warming leftovers. Within a couple of months, got an error message instructing us to unplug machine, stop using, etc. We have not had success returning or replacing and it currently works about 50% of the time.

We own this same model previously and it performed well for the last three years. We replace with the same model when the heating element began to burn out. The new Mini Smart oven - was returned immediately after attempting to toast a slice of bread - It failed miserably. After 12 minutes in the oven the bread had still now browned. I called Breville customer support and was put in a call back cue to be called back in several hours (which is not appreciated) Once I did speak to a live person, they indicated that they would have to open a case, the case would need to be investigated and it would be week or more before they would have answer.. I think the answer to Breville is that their newer model lacks the quality and is a defective design - as consumer reports rates it at a 64 with notable complaint that the time to toast is especially long. I mentioned that to the customer service rep. It would seem like they would recall the models instead of building all the illwill against their products. Never again Breville! Thank you Target for the quick return process!

I bought this toaster oven based on the great reviews so I had high expectations. For me, it's just okay. I do love the size. It is small, great for a single person or small kitchen. As far as the actual cooking goes, it does the job alright but my older cheaper toaster oven did the same job at a fraction of the price. I hate the toaster function on this. My bread didnt really toast well and I tried it at different levels of darkness. It toasted evenly, just took forever! I dont like the preset times since it would turn itself off so if I'm not watching it I have to turn it back on and adjust the settings once again. That applies to oven and toast. I'm not as impressed with it as other folks (here and online elsewhere) are. I could have saved about $100 and purchased the same thing with similar features and controls only just without the big name. By the way this thing gets HOT! For a small oven that typically goes under a cabinet (or near one) this should have some heat protecton.

We've had this for years and mostly loved it. Love the 'little more' button. But I literally have to use my phone flashlight to read the mini text. I just got a cuisinart and can't believe how much easier the controls are. Fewer buttons to press. It just works. Especially for older folk, get the cuisinart

Recently purchased this oven. Very happy. I live in AZ and wanted something to use for small meals that wouldn’t heat up the kitchen the way a standard oven does. While you can feel heat in front of the unit, it’s minimal. It heats up fast. I’ve used it for Starbucks premade egg bites, toast and baking chicken. Some reviewers commented on the lack of internal light but the items in the oven are easy to see. I’ve added photos of oven to show that it’s pretty lit up when using. Included a photo of oven being used when kitchen light is on and off. I’m very happy!
