A: Sweet breads come out great in my Le Creuset stoneware 5 x 7-inch (5 x 8.75-inch with handles). Pyrex and CasaWare also have toaste-oven sized bakewear.

Any cookware used in the oven would need to fit within those limitations and be rated for use, by the cookware manufacturer, in a toaster oven.

A: Yes, it has an alert but It's very faint compared to the alert on my other small kitchen appliances.

A: A preheat visual shows on the digital display, and there's also an alert sound, but it's too faint for me to hear.

A: No, the Breville® BOV450 Smart Oven® Mini does not work like a toaster will and eject bread being toasted. It works more similarly to a conventional oven with the function of toasting bread included.

A: The depth of the Breville® BOV450 Smart Oven® mini is 14". The door is not a full 14" as there is space beneath it for the crumb tray. The oven will be approximately 26" in depth with the door open fully.

Great design
This oven is perfectly designed. The functions and control panel are very intuitive. The overall footprint is not too tall or wide. Love the soft beep to signal the end of a cooking cycle.

None of the features worked
Did not toast evenly None of the functions worked. Oven came with 45 page manual. Supposed to have a toast function with options of number of slices and desired darkness but display only showed oven temperature setting. When oven was turned on, upper and lower heating elements would turn on no matter what feature was shown. Could not get assistance from company calling the phone number in product manual. Boxed up the oven, returned it and bought another brand.

Fire hazard
So thankful this did not turn into a fire. Seems like the rear bumpers allow the oven to be placed too close to the plug. The plug melted then got stuck to the oven. Could have been bad if we didn’t find it. Definitely returning!

Fire Hazart
The outside top, sides, back, front gets extremely hot, you can make an fried egg on top. This is unsafe. I only had it on for 3 min to make a toast, it toasts well but not worth the fire hazart. Return.

Bell volume lowered
This is second time I've purchased this oven. However, I noticed with second one, the volume of the bell to notify you your item is done cooking has been lowered. I've missed taking something out more than once. So bothersome. Will contact company to see if it's adjustable but I doubt it.

Fire on first use
We tested this for the 15 minutes as recommended in the brochure and the oven seemed fine. Put four pieces of tortilla inside on the lowest setting and they started on fire. I'm glad this happened when I was at home and not when my 12yo was alone. I am terrified of what could have happened.

Significant design flaw
The toaster oven works well. There is a significant design flaw on the plug and the cord wrap. The toaster oven can be pressed all the way up against the plug and thus melts it rendering a very unsafe toaster oven with a potential for electrical issues. For the price and from breville, I would have expected a much better design.

NOT a convection oven
The description on the Target website is incorrect. This is not a countertop convection oven. It is a pretty nice non-convection toaster oven.

not the same as used to be
Had the same model for 7+ years and was very happy with it. Since I have limited counter space, its a perfect size. But recently the heating elements started to fail so decides to buy the new one. Big dissapointment. Takes much longer to heat up and doesnt do great job like the old one. They also changed the timing on ech setting. Before there were 2 min on setting #1 with 2 slices, and now is 1min 40 sec. So by the time toaster gets hot and starts working, time is up and your toast is still raw. Why change something that worked well ?!
