Weber Lighter Cubes

It worked well at lighting the charcoal but it has a pretty strong odor similar to lighter fluid. While I couldn't taste what I smelled, I would prefer something non-chemical.

Great grill. So happy with my new purchase and what i can do with it.

We typically use a chimney to start the coals because we dislike the smell of starter fluid. While these have an odor in the beginning, it goes away quickly and leaves you with much more coal burn time than the chimney method. We’re using less charcoal!

Well not ever having any newspaper on hand anymore is what honestly drove me to try this product. The lighter cubes work wonderfully. Charcoal lights quick and there's no ash flying all over the place! Thanks

Economical solution that easily lights charcoal briquettes

I was used to using lighter fluid or crumpled up paper, but I definitely won't go back. The lighter cubes light pretty easily and do a great job when paired with a chimney starter. I was so used to the chemical taste you get when cooking with lighter fluid that I didn't realize how much it altered the flavor until I used these instead, (I suspect these are probably better for my health as well).

The grill are amazing but these cubes are awful and i needed the oil to turn on the fire

These are awesome. I use them to start briquettes and wood fires. Put a couple of them under your chimney and say goodbye to lighter fluid!

For the price I think they work great, And work with or without a chimney starter

We’ve always used these but this year they are all crumbly. Can’t even get them out of the tray they come Ian.

These are wonderful for getting a fire started quickly, either in a charcoal grill or in a burn pile for brush. I like the fact that there's no flavor residue affecting the charcoal, unlike lighter fluid. Their solid shape makes them safer to handle too.

Product works as advertised. No more fire department I used to use newspaper in a Weber chimney. The smoke from paper was not good.

I loved the safety packaging and ease to remove each square. I placed 2 squares under my chimney, which was placed on my smoker's top grate. 10 minutes later, my chimney is ready to pour onto my charcoal filled smoker base.

They light quick and burn hot enough to get my charcoal ready quickly. No more newspaper for me!

Although the lighter cubes get the coals red hot, the initial smoke and fumes the cubes let off is toxic.

Better than newspaper...nothing to complain about.

I use these for caMping and for my fire pit. Totally worth it.

Love these little lighter cubes. They fire right up and stay lit for quite a long time to get you coals going.
