Q: How can you remove the paint if it became smeared and too dark to 'catch' sun?

A: Hi CMS, Once the window art paint dries it cannot be removed as it adheres to the window art shapes, but while it is still wet I suggest removing with a Q-tip to remove any unwanted paint.

Even as an adult I loved this! Other sets use a paint brush with paint that never works. The paint for this was amazing. Would definitely buy more sets for birthday gifts for other kids.

My almost 3 year old and I loved doing this craft together! She was a bit heavy-handed with the paint as it comes out really easily from the tubes, but I was able to clean up the edges with a toothpick and wet paper towel and the excess dries down significantly. All of the opaque colors become translucent once dried (except for the black). The paints give off a strong chemical glue smell, but the smell dissipates once the craft is dried. I appreciated that the hooks were plastic, rather than metal, and thus kid-safe.

My daughters had tons of fun making these. The packaging is misleading. It only includes 10 sun catchers, not 20. The other 10 “projects” they’re advertising are one small sheet of plastic and whatever extra paint you end up with that you can use to create your own window clings. It was still a fun summer activity.

This was a fun, easy and entertaining craft for my kids. My 3, 5 and 7 yr old all loved this and have asked me to get another kit! The creations turned out super cute. The sun catchers come with suction cups for easy hang up when dried. The window clings are a little more time consuming, I traced the pictures and the kids filled the colors in. I will say the colors can run into one another so if you are trying to add details let the background color set before you add more colors if you want to prevent this. Overall a great purchase, we'll worth the money. Definitely a perfect gift too for any child that enjoys crafts.
