The reviews are right. I am not large chested for my size, I’m more bottom heavy, so k thought this would work. Such a cute dress and has potential but the top is TIGHT. And like others state, no wait defining, though it appears like it was made to be that way. Instead hangs from the mid seam like a sack.

Pros: fabric is 100% cotton for breathability, dress is lined, and the dress looks high end overall. Cons: to repeat other reviews, the top is too small in comparison with the waist. I originally ordered a 1X since that’s what I usually am with target, liking my clothes for feel roomy. The dress was way too huge so I returned for a XXL. It fit better in the top, but the waist around the rib cage was just still too big. I tried an XL just for kicks and the bust was now too small, but the rest of the dress fit well. I am not large chested and didn’t even have a bra on for reference. I will keep the XXL being that it is 100% cotton and it still will shrink a bit. I am thinking about altering by gathering the waist a bit more since I do sew, but the gathered hem being bunched more may make the waist and hip area more poofy. If you are a curvy girl and are relying on that hourglass look this dress may not be the best. Hemming the bottom will make it a little shorter than Maxi, but not quite a midi and I would find that the most flattering. It is a full length maxi, the model must be very tall in the photos. I am 5’7”/5’8” for reference and it covered my ankles. With the extra fabric that I cut from hemming the bottom, I will have a nice length of fabric to make two matching strings for a tie in the front, which I think would complement the dress well.

As other reviews said, this has a really weird fit. Tight around bust, too big at waist and an awkward length.

This dress is so comfortable and flattering on all body types. Has pockets which is such an added bonus.

Super cute shell pattern, beautiful ivory colored and the length was perfect. I tried on the large and the hip area was big but it fit other places well. The neck/chest area was big, and I really thought it was missing a string to tie in the front, like it has in the back. Had the worker check another dress and it didn't tie either. Price was fair but ultimately it went back on the rack.

I wanted to love this, and maybe if I ordered an XS instead of a small, it would have been ok. It was very overwhelming on me. I wish it came in petite sizes. I still have it 4 stars as it was gorgeous and looked like it cost way more than it did. I wish it fit me better.

To tight in the chest area and I have a small chest

The top is way to small. I am normally an XS in target clothing without issue. On my waist (27”) it fit perfectly. On my chest (34B) it was oddly small. I am certainly not a big person but I was very thrown off by how small it was. I can only imagine if I was any larger how poorly this would have fit. I want to try going up a size but then the waist and bottom would be too large. I am unfortunately going to return :(

I purchased the dress in XS (5'6, 34B,120LBS) and the fit is perfect! The top part fits loosely, but just right. The length is almost to my ankle.

Sized up based on reviews for the bust and got a large. Yes, it fit my bust with some room, but the waist was enormous. Tons of extra fabric and not fitted at all. Not flattering. Pockets and extra fabric added more bulk. Tried to add a thin belt, but there was just so much fabric that it looked ridiculous. It’s going back.

I love the fabric its 100% cotton and completely lined, but unfortunately I listened to the reviews and sized up. I am 36DD but wear a 6-8 dress. I bought a large instead of a medium and it is actually loose on top with too low armholes. I should bought a medium. It's a rather loose empire design, so there's a bit more fabric in the hips and no defined waist. I bought it online and will keep it since I don't have a store near me with this style otherwise I would have tried a medium or returned it. A stretch raffia belt helps

Beautiful dress, but the sizing is off; the top parts is way too small, literally flattened my chest (D).

Runs very big have to down size

This dress is one of my favorite spring finds so far. I would’ve guessed it to be more expensive than it is and I love the 100% cotton fabric content for warm summer days. I’m typically between a small and medium and went with a small for this dress after trying both sizes.

The to was so small compared to the rest of the dress I even sized up very disappointed

This dress was pretty. The material is substantial and good quality. It's lined which is usually nice but it felt like too much material. Also the top was very tight in the chest area so if you're bigger up top this may not work for you.

This dress is very cute and looks more expensive than it is , esp. with the unusual shell eyelet pattern. However, I am a large B cup and I don't think anyone larger than a C cup can wear this. The skirt is pretty full and it comes down to my ankles so it has a bit of a romantic feel. It is flattering and does a good job camoflaging my very ample hips and butt.
