The Worx Nitro WX516L.9 20V Power Share Cordless Reciprocating Saw with Brushless Motor is part of the Nitro Series of tools, engineered for more power, performance, and run time than other battery-operated tools. When paired with Worx Power Share PRO high-capacity batteries, their true potential is unlocked. This Nitro Cordless Reciprocating Saw was made to provide professional cutting capability, with the power and functionality to handle multiple material types and their variations. It has a cutting depth of up to 10 in. for wood, 7.25 in. for PVC, and .5 in. for steel. And its adjustable pivoting shoe allows for easier depth control when cutting. With a stroke length of 1.18 in. and a no-load speed of 3000 RPM it has the power for removing stumps, delimbing firewood, performing renovation and teardown work and more. The variable speed control trigger allows for easy starts and lets the user find the perfect speed for a variety of applications. And at only 5.6 lbs., it’s lightweight and easy to control and maneuver. The innovative GripZone handle design is covered in micro-texture material which makes it more comfortable to operate for extended use. And the stay-open clamp makes one-handed blade changes quick and easy. This battery-powered Reciprocating Saw accepts blades from other manufacturers for your convenience. And the onboard LED lighting keeps both the cutline and the work surface well-lit in dark workspaces.It does not come with a battery or charger, but that’s by design. It’s meant for those that use other Power Share tools and have those batteries already. Power Share tools are a great way to save money because you don’t have to buy a battery every time you buy a new battery-powered tool.

I have owned this saw for about a year. Overall, it is a fine saw. The only negative that I have is with the trigger. The variable speed control is not very good. The speed starts off too fast and goes up from there. The other issue is the weight. The unit is quite large and heavy. After using it to trim tree branches, my arms got tired.

I have some thick wild rose bushes that needed to be cut. back. This saw allows me to do that without getting all scratched up. It's a real workhorse. It even comes with a nice carrying case to keep it safe when not in use.

I paid big money for new batteries (which only lasted a little over a year). This time I saw that Worx had one for about the cost of the batteries I was going to get. I LOVE the other Worx tools I have so I bought it. This thing works harder than the "big name" one ever thought of. And I use Worx batteries that I've had over 4 yrs that still hold a charge for a very long time. Soon, all of my cordless tools will have WORX written on the side.

We do however love building stuff like plant holders or stands. We loved how long the battery lasted when we used it we didn’t have to charge it multiple times during use. We also used it for some smaller tree branches that we needed to remove so squirrels would stop jumping on our roof. Very good brand I look forward to getting the other tools to mix and match.

Used my saw for the first time today. I removed 40’ of a wooden privacy fence posts and all in about 45 minutes. The saw worked like a charm and was lighter than my old reciprocal saw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of projects that all required the use of a reciprocating saw but I needed a cordless since some of these jobs have not power source. I have had this now for about 3 1/2 weeks and have used it at least a dozen times. The battery stays charged to complete most jobs. Battery charges in about 1 hour so taking a break while prepping the rest of a job works out great for me. I will be getting a second battery though just for my own personal convivence. I like that its heavy duty but lightweight enough my wife can handle it. No special blades are required so any brand so far seems to work great. Cutting through a 2x4 is like cutting butter. I have used this for demolition to trimming and am pleased with the results.

I use the long blade to cut brunches off the tree in the front yard and I can do this job on the ladder without worrying about cords anymore. The short blades is great to cut steel for my DYI projects around the house It also comes with a nice bag for storage or to carry it.

Powerful Easy to Handle Cordless Reciprocating Saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nitro Reciprocating saw is a solid feeling saw and it has a very powerful brushless motor. I am a homeowner using it for projects, including: removing deck spindles by cutting nails, cutting plywood, PVC pipe and materials, and some thin steel. Great that not only is this saw really powerful, but it’s easy to handle and maneuver while cutting, and cordless! The battery’s charge lasts two hours or so, so I can complete my projects in one session. I think it’s sufficiently powerful for a contractor’s use too, but might require another battery to complete more time-consuming jobs because the recharge takes about an hour.
