Looks Stunning
The cipher series in general looks great, with the gold d-pad making this one pop. It has the rubber backing on the handles, so it's a little bit more premium than the average Xbox controller. My 1 star off is for Microsoft's new packaging. I've noticed that the backs of the controllers get scuffed up due to the battery bundled that is packed underneith. I haven't noticed this on any of the controllers I've acquired with the older style of packaging. Lastly, like a few others have mentioned, Target is shipping out returned/used controllers as new. The controller I received had a box with a banged up corner and the tamper seal was already sliced open which allowed the controller to move around a little during shipping.

damaged? used?
I'm not sure if the controller has any internal damage or if it is even new. But the shipping box had been pressed on enough to the point the packing tape was split opened on top. The Xbox controller box had rips & tears & had been opened, tape was split. I'm assuming these are used but I didn't see anything stating they were used.
