Most pop-up canopies offer removable sidewall panels. Common types include full zipper/door panels for access, solid window panels for light and privacy, and mesh-window sidewalls (fine mesh) that increase airflow and keep insects out.

Sidewalls usually secure to both the canopy top and legs using hook-and-loop fasteners, zippers, or Velcro-style straps so the panels stay attached to the cover and frame.

Ventilation comes from top vents in the canopy plus mesh-window sidewalls. Together they allow breeze circulation while keeping the enclosed space ventilated when sidewalls are installed.

Solid window panels increase brightness and outside visibility. Fine mesh window panels preserve views and airflow while keeping out small insects, trading some privacy for ventilation and insect protection.

Packing lists commonly include the removable sidewall panels plus anchoring accessories such as sandbags, ground pegs, and wind ropes to secure the canopy and sidewalls.
