It varies by item: some require no assembly, others note ‘Adult Assembly Required,’ and inflatable or standing bags often need their base filled (water or sand) to stabilize them.
They use a weighted base—typically filled with water or sand—to anchor the bag so the inflatable bopper springs back upright after impacts.
Many items use multi-layer, shock-absorbing constructions—examples include platinum multi-layer foam, gel-and-foam linings, and products described as ‘super shock absorbing and impact resistant’ (some listings note more than six layers of shock-absorbing foam/filling).
Most listed inflatable or punching items do not use batteries, but some electronic/interactive models do require batteries. One listing specifies (3) AAA batteries for operation; other items explicitly list “Battery: No Battery Used.”
