Refill loop kits are sold in assorted color mixes. Examples include multi-color assortments for potholders and kits that provide 14 different colors (18 loops each) plus larger quantities of black and white loops for more classic looks.

Flower and shaped looms typically include multiple shaped frames (for example squares, hexagons, and rounds), a centering or base cover, and a tapestry needle. Their flower pieces are designed to be joined together into wearable items and home decor such as pillows, trimmings, and bags.

Potholder refill packs usually state the compatible loom size or note that a specific loom is required. For example, some refill loops are described as made for a 7" x 7" potholder or a metal weaving loom; packages may also specify that the weaving loom is not included.

You can make a wide range of projects, including hats, bags, scrunchies, scarves, small joined flowers and embellishments, potholders, squares for blankets or pillows, and larger woven pieces such as rugs.

Counts vary by product. Some refill packs contain 144 or 288 loops. Loom packages may list peg counts or component totals—examples include a board loom with 50 pegs, multi-peg sets with 64–80 pegs, or kits described by pieces such as an 18-piece set.

Compatibility depends on the loom. Peg looms with small peg spacing work with thinner to worsted-weight yarns; some board looms are described as compatible with any size yarn; flower looms accept wool, yarn, ribbon, or raffia. Check your loom’s peg spacing and instructions for best results.
