PS5 VR2 delivers 4K HDR visuals using dual OLED displays. Each eye receives a 2000 × 2040‑pixel view and the headset supports a wide field of view to produce high‑detail, HDR imagery.

The PS5 VR2 includes PlayStation VR2 Sense features such as eye tracking, headset haptic feedback (headset feedback), and built‑in 3D Audio to enhance immersion.

PS5 VR2 uses a single‑cable connection to the PlayStation 5, offering a simple, quick setup—plug the cable into the console for a one‑cable connection to get started.

PS5 VR2 supports 3D Audio for immersive sound. Note that some experiences may require analogue or USB stereo headphones for audio output.

PS5 VR2 offers a range of VR experiences including adventure and narrative investigations, puzzle and stealth challenges, climbing and exploration, hunting‑style encounters, and other immersive action gameplay.

PS5 VR2 requires a PlayStation 5 console and is not compatible with PlayStation 4. The headset is noted as not for use by children under age 12, and individual games carry their own ESRB ratings (for example, one title is rated E10).
