GOOD GIRL COMPLEX is perfect for those wanting to escape to the shores of the Carolinas in this mix between OBX & the AFTER series. SWIPE for synopsis! 💭 i felt a little mixed about this one tbh! it was a solid 3.75-4 so i rounded up here. Elle Kennedy's books have always been so easy to breeze through for me, and while the characters can be a bit stereotypical at first Kennedy has a way of diving deeper into their character & background as the story progresses. GOOD GIRL COMPLEX was a bit of a weird pace to start out so i didn't find myself dying to pick it up until the 2nd half of the book, which moved much faster. i came to really love Mac & Cooper and their development, both together and apart. they had great banter and chemistry! the plot was just ok, though.. i think the main plot point is just a bit overdone for me and i've seen it executed better (IYKYK). i will say - i am VERY much looking forward to Evan's story, BAD GIRL REPUTATION, coming out 10/4/2022. loved chatting about and reading this one with my girls elosreadingcorner readwithjulesandbre is this book going to change your life? no. was it a bit cheesy at times? sure. did i still enjoy it and recommend for a quick vacation read? definitely! read if you love ❤️: - alternating POV - new adult college romances - good girl/bad boy vibes - light to medium steam (2/5 🔥 for me)
