I am officially a fan of helenhoang’s writing. I love her stories! Autistic main characters, diverse Vietnamese culture, & some romance, too—which I’m still not totally used to by the way! 😳🤓. But they are such fun reads while having deep & meaningful themes at the same time. This one is about Michael’s cousin, Khai, who believes he is not meant to ever be in a relationship due to his autistic ways, and about mixed-race Esme, living in the slums of Ho Chi Minh City, who is being recruited by Khai’s mother to come to the U.S. in hopes of marrying Khai and changing his mind about love. Completely recommend!
