men’s measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to take body measurements accurately & easily.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Chest

With arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest & shoulder blades, keeping the tape level & snug.

  • Waist

Bend slightly to one side. The crease is where your natural waistline is. Measure a comfortable loose, level line around that point.

Best Boxer Brief

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love these boxer briefs, and yes, they are as described. The pouch is contoured in such a way to provide adequate room up front while providing just the right amount of support. I really like the pouch, it is flattering yet practical. I also really like the feel of the material, it is definitely soft and after wearing all day, never had an issue with chaffing, so they are very comfortable. The fit is great, the waistband is comfortable. These are all around fantastic underwear. I haven’t worn boxer briefs in years, but liked the way these looked and were designed so I figured I’d give them a try, and yes, I was pleasantly surprised. I am a boxer briefs guy again and can’t wait to order this style in more colors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the longer leg Chafe Proof boxers and I think I like those better. Despite them being a bit too long, the leg stays in place and does not roll up whereas with the trunks, the legs become loose and end up rolled up so that by the end of the day they are almost like briefs with too much fabric around the legs. If they were made with a synthetic fabric that stretches, they would probably be much better. Still good for what they do and if you don't have thicker thighs, they would probably work totally fine. The pouch design is good and definitely work to avoid all chafing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who typically wears briefs, these are extremely comfortable and fit just fine. I recommend them to anyone who is looking to revamp their underwear drawer. The fit is not too tight but keeps everything in place.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves these. They are super soft and comfortable. He plays soccer and real likes that they wick away sweat and keep him dry. He would rather have the longer leg style instead, though. These seem to bunch up a little while he’s running.

Comfortable, Solid, and Stylish Chef Proof Trunks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These trunks were comfortable and did what need to do. No chafing what so ever which is a big A+ with me who has sensitive skin. I wore them during long dog walks and other activities, still no chafing and felt like I was wearing nothing. My only complaint is that the pouch should be snugged fit as I felt a bit loose. Overall, these really did what they were design to do and wear them more often. Also, hopefully there will a brief version of these.

Chafe Proof Trunks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these cotton trunks. Wish the pocket in the front wrapped around more, other than that they are nice for all day where. Have good support and don’t need to adjust ever. Have not had a problem with chafing when wearing them all day, “guess they are working”. There is not ridding up on the legs like you find in other trunk underwear. I have only been using them when at work, will need to see how they do on a hot summer day. I do recommend them!

Great Fit and Keeps the Equipment in Place

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy wearing these chafe proof pouch trunks by Jockey. The length of the legs is great and allows easy movement. With the majority of the trunks being made of cotton, they are soft and comfortable, but the spandex allows flexible movement. While the pouch in the front isnt completely separate from the rest of the trunks, it definitely allows enough room for your equipment and keeps everything in place. I really like the mesh vents on either side that allow for airflow. I definitely feel that this helps in keeping everything cool and dry. The trunks are true to size and fit closely to the body without being constricting. They are comfortable and don’t bind up when pulling on a pair of jeans. These are a definite must for the guy that’s moving around and active throughout the day or just likes to lounge around at home in his underwear.

More support than a normal trunk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these trunks. The pouch definitely prevents chafing with my legs and it provides better support (cupping) than a standard trunk. It's like wearing a brief with the coverage of a trunk. I usually order Large, but I went with Medium instead because I'm "smaller than average",, yet there is still more than enough room in the pouch. I also like the snugger fit on my thighs. The waistband is very comfortable and soft, and I don't feel the seams. As the day progresses, I notice that the leg openings aren't quite as snug as when I first put them on and the legs ride up a little bit. The mesh is cooling, but it's quite sheer...great for the bedroom but maybe not so much for the gym ;-) These trunks will be great for walking/running.

A Great All-Around Trunk for Everyday Use

4 out of 5 stars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I was impressed by the trunk. I wanted to give it a try as most trucks I’ve tried in the past haven’t had much breathing room. There was a noticeable difference from the first time I tried it on. Nothing felt constricted and and I had full range of motion. The material has held up well after multiple washes and lives up to my expected Jockey standards. I’ve used the trunk during normal daily use, sports and for sleeping and have had no issues whatsoever. My only complaint is the cuff on the legs is just a tad too loose, and it ended up rolling up on me at multiple times during the day. It also has the “ride up” issue on the leg which leaves me constantly having to readjust the positioning. It’s not a dealbreaker as I’ve had this issue with Jockey trunks in the past but something to be aware of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are trunks and appeared to be tight-fitting and perhaps even uncomfortable. They are not what I would usually wear so I wasn’t sure how I would like this style. I decided to give the chafe-proof a try and could not be more pleased with my decision. My normal size is XL and that’s what I ordered. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and comfort. And after a long day, these still felt as fresh and comfy as they did when I put them on. I would have preferred them with a fly, but not a game-changer; I still like them!

Solid trunks option (if that’s your thing)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not really much of a trunks guy, but these are a pretty solid option. I usually have an issue with the legs riding up, but that thankfully wasn’t an issue here. The sort of mesh fabric included around the crotch seem to have a minimal effect- I noticed that they provided some some additional separation to keep things a little more breezy, but still not to the extent that a full separate pouch might. My actual overall review would be closer to 3.5 stars, but I’m rounding up here (and because I’m not really sure if I should ding them just because I don’t really like the style). All in all, a solid choice if you’re a trunks guy, but not something that I’d personally go out of my way to wear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These trunks are very comfortable. I wore them while raking leaves and felt supported. The mesh vents on either side of the pouch did their job and kept me dry. The leg openings were non-constricting and did not ride up. The waistband held the trunks in place while doing the work. I like the feel of the cotton fabric.

Great comfortable pouch style underwear

5 out of 5 stars
Denguy - 2 years ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These have been great. I am a big fan of pouch style boxer briefs. It is mostly what I wear. I have tried a few different brands and styles, some quite expensive. I was a little skeptical of these, but after wearing them multiple times and during different kinds of activities, I am very happy with them. The fit is great. Where some trunks will still ride up on your legs or fit weirdly, these don't. I do not end up having to adjust them throughout the day. The material is a cotton spandex blend that is stiff enough where they hold their shape, but not so stiff that it is uncomfortable or constricting. I like this pouch design. It is soft and comfortable, and not overly complicated. It keeps things where they should be, prevents chafing and rubbing, and does not require adjusting. The pouch is cotton on the outside, but has an interesting polyester mesh type fabric on the inside. It seems to wick away moisture well, while looking good. And it is pretty soft. I like the look of them. The trunks also have a mesh band that wraps around the pouch. They do stay cool, and I thin these help. I was worried that they would stand out when I am wearing these, but you don't really notice them unless you look closely. Overall, I know that I like underwear when 1) they are the ones that I go to pull out of my drawer in the morning, and 2) I don't have to think about them during the day. These fit both of those categories, I will definitely keep wearing them and buy some more.

Solid Underwear Choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a solid choice. The fabric is soft and the waistband holds up to my dad bod and doesn’t roll. The leg length is good and don’t creep up. The pouch is supported by a mesh strip on each side that acts like a shock absorber. The pouch is lined with microfiber and combined with the mesh strips creates a cozy hammock for the “family makers”. They are comfortable for daily wear and at the gym. I found the hammock a little confining for me to sleep. My only complaint is the side seams are not flat stitched but that is not a deal breaker.

Comfortable and the perfect amount of coverage. Highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chafe proof trunks are one of the most comfortable pair of underwear I have worn. The cotton/spandex fabric have the right amount of stretch and hold their shape after washing. I wore them at work and on the weekend; and the pouch prevents pinching and binding throughout the day. The pouch also keeps you cooler throughout the day cutting down on sweating. The inseam is the perfect length for just the right amount of coverage. The legs stay in place throughout the day, and don't bunch up. The black color is classic and versatile for everyday wear.

Dressy and Functional

Jockey Guy - 2 years ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although the material seemed less soft than other recent synthetic materials I've worn, it was comfortable to wear. The waistband is more dressy with its tone-on-tone branding and stays in place. The leg openings have a slight cling to the legs when first put on but they open up to an almost boxer-like / stretched configuration after a short time but are still sufficiently comfy. The pouch has room for the important parts but seems best for comfort rather than sporty support. The cooling mesh panel / strips seem to do their job in the flyless design. Note that the leg length is about 2", so they are more traditional (e.g. closer under the buns) than some trunks that are just short boxer brief designs.

Form fitting breathable trunks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These trunks feel high quality. The fabric is soft and feels great for everyday wear and for more active wear. They have two small vertical mesh panels on the front for breathability. The mesh is slightly opaque so you might be showing off more than intended! They fit snugly and are form fitting with an ideal short length.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The trunks are comfortable and seem to avoid the chafing. Additionally, they fit well and appropriately snug. I'm partially between a L and XL and the L fits well and shapes good for the body. Have used for fitness and look forward to using for hiking and mountain climbing.
