submitted byLuke - 6 years agoA: by tearing instead of cutting with scissors I was able to get the liner loose from the tape. tearing the tape stretches the liner loose and you’ll be able to peel it off... cutting the tape with scissors leaves a perfect edge that makes it impossible to separate the liner from the tape.

We recommend keeping the liner of tape on at first, cutting or tearing tape to desired size then placing tape on desired area. We suggest then rubbing the tape into the entire surface then removing liner. A: Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting tape will hold 1 pound of weight per 2 inches of tape. However it is also only for flat objects (less than 3/4 of an inch depth) on flat surfaces. Q: How easy/difficult is the tape to remove? Does removing the tape leave residue behind? If so, what does it take to remove the residue? Is it possible to restick the tape, like if there was an error in measuring and it needs to be moved a bit?
A: Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting Tape is considered a semi permanent tape with a very strong adhesive layer. It can damagage surfaces with poor integrity and it will leave an adhesive residue transfer upon removal that will require removing with solvents and adhesive removers.
