New Way To Open Not Good

3 out of 5 stars
French Vanilla Lover - 14 days ago

I gave it 3 stars because of the new way to open. I just wanted to say that the new way of opening the containers is not an easy task for older people, people with arthritis, and again the ring itself has a sharp edge. The foil was so much easier, even if I had to take a knife and make a slit to easily tear off the foil. I buy a LOT of the french vanilla as we go through 1-32oz in 1-1/2 days. May have to go back to the competition!

French Vanilla tastes completely different now

What has happened to the taste of French Vanilla? YUK!!! I buy this creamer constantly - usually 4 bottles at a time for work and home. I purchased two bottles this week and they both taste completely different. I guess I am finding a new creamer.

Disappointed with lack of flavor

Over the last couple of years I have noticed a huge difference in the lack of Vanilla flavor in the creamer. The International Delight brand has always been my favorite up until 2 years ago. I thought I was getting sick and losing my sense of taste when I tried drinking my coffee and it had no flavor after pouring a few creamers into it while at a restaurant. I took my coffee home with me and when I got home I opened up a new bottle I had in my fridge, this new bottle had no Vanilla flavor in that either. To check if I was losing my sense of taste I had someone else try it and they also confirmed there was no flavor. I have purchased a couple more bottles hoping that batch was just light on flavor but it has not changed the flavor is still lacking drastically. Maybe it’s a way for the company to save money who knows, either way I will be switching to a different brand. It’s a shame because like I said up until a couple of years ago it was my favorite Vanilla flavored coffee creamer but wasting money on something that isn’t what it should be is something I cannot afford to do.

A shorter gold cap with pull back plastic seal

Hi I have been a long time customer of you French vanilla creamer. I noticed you recently changed the packaging where the top of the cap is a shorter cap with a white pull back seal. The French vanilla in this bottle tastes like chemicals it’s terrible. I noticed that the French vanilla with the bigger gold cap and the original foil seal tastes the way that it usually tastes, what happened?

New Bottle/New Terrible taste

I don’t know what happened but I opened a new creamer this morning (happened to be 1st of new bottle design that I’ve used) and couldn’t believe how terrible my coffee tasted. You all have to have changed the recipe and if that’s the case I’m switching to another brand. I’ve used ID French vanilla for over a decade so to now have a terrible aftertaste it tells me something has changed along with the design of the bottle/top. Why would you try to fix something that was NOT broken?!

Thanks, the change helps me drink it black now.

Dear Danone - It seems unlikely you would have changed the formula for any reason other than to increase profits. Less ingredients, cheaper, whatever. Seems short sighted when we're just going to stop drinking it.

Terrible taste with the recipe change

Have been drinking this for years complaining about the messy bottle but loving the taste. Now the bottle changes and its even more difficult to open but even worse I can not even stomach the after taste of it now. Something has changed and until it goes back to the exact recipe it was I will never buy it again. Do not change what is already working.

My fiancé and I have been using this creamer daily for several years - we stock up knowing we will not touch another brand or flavor. It is just perfect. We both noticed an immediate difference in the taste with the most recent bottle we opened. If it were not for the new bottle I would have thought it was just a bad batch. It sounds silly, but as someone who uses this product every day without fail, we are disappointed and saddened by this change. I hope it is possible to go back to the previous recipe.

ID French Vanilla Creamer Taste Different

I have been using ID French Vanilla creamer for years with no problems. Recently purchased a bottle and noticed the cap and seal were different. The seal was nearly impossible to remove, and very messy. The creamer has little to no flavor and a terrible aftertaste. Tasted the creamer by itself and result was the same. What’s going on?

Changed the Taste and not for the better

French Vanilla - New Bottle, new pouring cap, nearly impossible to remove safety seal (Without getting French V all over you) and worst of all, they changed to taste. It's close but noticeable. It has an 'off' "musty" flavor to it. Now? Almost as bad as Carnations version

French Vanilla Creamer Issue

I have been using ID French vanilla for years. After the latest bottle/formula change, I can no longer use it. Since the change I have been getting horrible heartburn soon after drinking my coffee with the creamer. I am really not happy about that because I only drink one 20 ounce coffee a day and everyday and looked forward to my French vanilla. I have not changed a single thing. I use the same 100% Columbian coffee I have always used and the save amount of only INTERNATIONAL DELIGHT French Vanilla. But I can't continue with this heartburn.

New bottle, new chemical taste

I have used the French Vanilla creamer for over 10 years. Opened a new bottle this morning and something is off. It has a chemical taste and smell, not Vanilla flavor at all. The bottle itself is different which i like, but the flavor is terrible. I've been battling heart burn for 3 hours since trying to drink my coffee. No clue what I'll change to now.

Changed the mixture and the caps?

I have been a coffee drinker for most of my life and I am 55. My daughter four years ago bought international delight French vanilla. I was hesitant to try but did and it has been my go to for the past four straight years you changed something in your recipe and if you didn’t, you need to recall every one of them immediately. Because it taste totally different. It doesn’t taste sour. It doesn’t taste clabbered or anything. It just taste off. I also noticed the new caps on all of your regular size bottles ever since the cats changed. The formula has tasted different if you’re not gonna go back to normal or you’ve changed something please elaborate and let the public know. As of right now I’m not drinking any coffee because I cannot find a French vanilla that tasted as good as international delight brand so I’m drinking green tea. I don’t like green tea, but I Don’t care for any other creamer and can’t switch back to regular milk and sugar because it’s too much sugar that I end up putting in. So what do you say?

So up until a few days ago I could buy ID French vanilla and know my coffee is good to go. However, the bottles I bought THIS WEEK seem to be of a new design with a smaller body and cap. I can get down with design changes but whatever happened to the flavor? It tastes like liquid glue and dish soap... I've always loved ID especially because it's gluten free and the wife can drink it. It's a shame to see such good things fall apart. 😥
