Q&A(20)

Q: Does this heater blow air?

submitted by dmm - 3 years ago
  • A: It says that it does in the description and the photos...

submitted byasdfsafdsa - 4 months ago
  • A: Yes, it has a fan-only mode which even uses the thermostat dial too! This way it can be set to come on only when it gets above a certain temperature. I was very happy to see it.

submitted bySmellyCat - 3 months ago
  • A: Hello, this unit does not come with a fan only option. Thank you.

Q: In the fan-only setting, does the fan turn on when the thermostat is warm and turn off when it's cold, or vice versa?

submitted by asdfsafdsa - 4 months ago
  • A: Yes, it seems to turn on when the air gets warmer than the set point. Adjusting the thermostat dial in fan mode works opposite the way it does for heat, if that makes sense. Makes sense once tested.

submitted bySmellyCat - 3 months ago
  • A: Hello Asdfsafdsa, When the unit is set to fan mode, adjusting the thermostat will not affect the temperature, as the fan will continue to blow cool air without altering the room's temperature.

Q: how much electricity does this heater uses in terms of dollar per day?

submitted by Mer - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello Mer, Thank you for your question. This Ceramic Heater packs 1500 watts of power. Running this heater for 8 hours a day equals 12,000 watts or 12 kilowatts of daily electricity. 12 kilowatts x 12 cents per kilowatt = $1.44 per day. The numbers are subjected to persona use, so the average daily cost could be around 81 cents to $2.00 per day. We hope this helps. Thank you.

Q: can you hang the heater by the handle?

submitted by Lala - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi Lala, Thank you for your question. While the capsule heater does have a handle, it is more for carrying the unit around than hanging it. This unit has a tip-over sensor that will not allow the unit to function unless it is standing on its kickback stand. We hope this helps. Thank you.

Q: What in this heater warrants the prop 65 warning?

submitted by PJ - 2 years ago
  • A: Dear PJ, Thank you for your question. The Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. There are over 900 chemicals on the list. Most heaters have some kind of chemical involved which warrants this warning, whether it is apart of the manufacturing process of the unit, or a byproduct of the chemical process. Please visit www.p65warnings.ca.gov for more information. Thank you.
