In 2023, I received the Lego Architecture: The Great Pyramid of Giza for Christmas. As a big fan of ancient civilizations and having visited Giza three times myself, the gift brought me great joy. I also enjoyed assembling it, but the resulting half of the pyramid did not bring me the satisfaction I expected. The structure felt incomplete. Therefore, for Christmas 2024, I received a second set, which I thoroughly enjoyed building. My goal was not to assemble two identical halves, as the internal corridors would not align, the pyramid would have two main entrances, and the Nile would flow on both sides. Inside the pyramid, I also added the so-called relieving chambers above the King's Chamber to make the interior even closer to the original. I must also mention one thing that really surprised me. Although it is a Lego model of the Great Pyramid, the instructions on pages 2, 4, and 121 feature a photograph of the Pyramid of Khafre. While it may appear taller than the Great Pyramid, this is only due to its construction on higher ground. Not to mention the interior, which does not come close to the perfection and enigma of the Great Pyramid. Even on the box, there is a photograph of the Giza plateau, which surprisingly places the Great Pyramid in the very back.

Great display model of the pyramid, I like the detail inside the pyramid of the chambers which can be revealed by removing the pyramid top. A little repetitive during the build process but still fun to build. An excellent display model

I was very excited to build this set however it’s not very stable and it’s not nearly as detailed as I hoped it would be. The build is quite repetitive but still fun.

Really love this lego set. It was really fun to build and displays nicely. Also, enjoy the various layers with addition details. It’s fun to show the chambers inside the pyramid and the building process under the surface layer. My only critique is with getting two sets I wish there were instructions to build the back half so that it is mirrored to the front, so that the chambers line up. Also, include some extra sand dune pieces so the back half could be built with that all around. That way a person could buy two sets and make them into a thoughtful cohesive display set.

The ability to explore the pyramid's internal design adds significant play value, making this set more than just a display piece. I have not built this set yet, but have wanted it for a while. Having actually been to the Pyramids in Egypt, I simply had to add this to my growing LEGO collection! I am already considering buying a second one to put them together as a complete pyramid. Thanks for these sets!

At 30 seconds of the video, the gentleman is shown placing the the inside of the pyramid back to back with the outer pyramid. Both having a base underneath them. This would be a fantastic way to present this great piece however, this is "not" what is provided. This is confusing as it is clearly half a pyramid shown in the pictures. I dind it misleading.

    Difficult building Instructions

This set took way too long to build not because of my building skills, because of the instructions and the overall structure. This caused me back pain while building and it was very difficult and too very long. Please review the instructions or make it an easier structure because this build ruined my whole mood when building on my birthday !!!!!

It’s cool. It could be a lot cooler… Very repetitive building instructions. It seems very thrown together and basic. I would’ve appreciated more detail and more features. It looks cool on display, but the closer you get, the less exciting it gets.

As an older person I like to do other things than watch tv. This pyramid was bought for my husband and myself to work on together. Bad weather will be here next week and this will be our entertainment. I appreciate everyone who worked on this item, and hope to do more in the future! Thanks to everyone!!

As an adult Lego collector, I'm a big fan of the Architecture line, and the Great Pyramid of Giza set makes for an especially excellent display piece. Adding the little portion in front, with the river, greenery, and boats, elevates the piece beyond looking like just a static model and makes for a far more dynamic, visually engaging display. It was also a pretty fun build, which is always nice. I know some wish that it had been a complete pyramid, but I actually like it as-is: keeping the flat back up against a wall makes this much easier to display than it would be otherwise.
