Q: Hi. Are these dishes heavy?

submitted by Amanda - 1 year ago

  • A: I came to the Target site to inquire on purchasing these as I just used them for a full week in a vacation rental and loved them. I would say that they're on the heavier side. Solid dishes and definitely not lightweight.

    Really like these, wanting more

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these dishes. They feel like the weight and look like the quality good dishes should be. Look much better in person. I like the dark gray, with little specs of color. They stack well together. They seem like they will last me for years. The sizing is perfect, especially the bowls. The higher edge on the plates help if having sauces. Highly recommend!

    Do well in the dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a dish set that would stand out from my boring white, these are great. The gray brings a modern and sophisticated look. They have a substantial weight and sturdy stoneware, makes them perfect to be my main dishes. They have done great in the dishwasher. It look me a few tries where to place them because of the size of the bowls. They are becoming a favorite!

    Nice and practical dishes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the thickness and rich gray color with darker speckles of this set, and the plates are roomy enough for our usual meals. They have gone through the dishwasher several time without trouble. Food warms evenly in the microwave, but the dishes themselves do get hot. I just wish this came with six place settings instead of four.

    Sturdy dishes, a rich gray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The weight and thickness of these dishes make them feel durable and I love how the dark gray pieces look, they look gorgeous in my cabinets too. The bowls work for almost anything, while the plates have a nice rounded shape with a lip. The set is so attractive and easy to wash. I have been handwashing them.

    A stylish set, love them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stoneware has a beautiful deep gray finish that makes even my simple meals look nicely presented. I like the raised edge on this plates, great for pasta, and the bowls work well for my soup or ice cream. Everything feels sturdy and cleans up easily. They do really well in the dishwasher and microwave.

Bad packaging and poor condition of outer carton

This was ordered from a wedding registry. It was shipped with zero packaging and arrived covered in black filth with dented corners. Not to mention that this is a fragile product! How do I know if some of the items inside are chipped or broken? Can you imagine the bride opening this nasty looking gift at her shower? Do better….😡

    LOVE!

I was worried about purchasing these based on some negative reviews. I am so glad I took the chance and ordered them anyway. They are beautiful and very high quality according to my standards. They are plain white so of course I anticipate they will gain some scratches over time. It has been a month and they don't have any scratches yet. They have handled the microwave and plenty of washes in the sink (My current apartment has no dishwasher so I can't attest to how they hold up in the dishwasher). They make me filled with joy every time I open my kitchen cabinets! So minimalistic and aesthetic! If you are considering purchasing take this as your sign that they are worth every penny!

Great quality and affordable everday dishes.

We have been using these daily for a year and no complaints. Very minimal scratches are visible. Get lots of compliments when guests use the plates and are surprised when I say I got them from Target.
