Q: Do you find that the mugs get stained with coffee and tea easily? Are they difficult to keep white? Actually the dishes also, do you find that foods like spaghetti sauce stain the plates?

A: I’ve had This dishes set for over 2 years now. I drink coffee and tea every day and have not had any problems with the dishes staining. Pasta sauce has never been an issue either.

My only issue with this dish set is I can’t purchase the mugs separately. I received two sets of these as a gift from my wedding registry, and in less than a year my husband had dropped and broken one plate and one mug already lol! I was able to easily replace the plate but learned that the mugs in this set aren’t sold individually as far as I could find. It’s the curse of matching sets, future brides beware! Aside from that I love these dishes they are simple elegant and sturdy.

Six months ago, I bought 2 sets of the beaded rim dinnerware. I like their weight, size, and look. They are hand washed. I have replaced 5 pieces due to chipping. They to expensive to maintain by replacing pieces this often.

I had bought a white, Gibson plate set from Target over 20 years ago and it was similar to this set. I loved that set but had to give it away because we were moving cross country. Never had issues with those. I went to my local Target, saw this similar set and bought two boxes. I thought and still think the color and aesthetic is lovely. Over the past almost 2 years, several of the smaller plates, bowls and large plates have chipped. I usually hand wash my dishes just like I had with my Gibson porcelain set, so I am honestly unsure why these chip so easily. They truly are hideous now and I am looking to replace them with a porcelain Gibson set, which are similarly priced. Save your money, and get a different brand.

The dishes get scratched easily with tableware. It’s a mission to remove the marks even with bar keeper. With small children I don’t have time for this. I bought a better brand from another retailer and those don’t get scratched with nothing. I’m slowly letting these break so I can toss and get rid of them. I don’t recommend these at all.

These plates are cute and the quality is okay for the price. However, I was disappointed to see that each plate had a tiny dark circular mark on it. It looks like some kind of manufacturing flaw. Now each plate looks like it has this weird stain. I would have returned them but I waited to long since I didn’t take them out of the box until after I moved.
