A: Hi Comtgal! These plates are microwave safe, but the materials can still absorb heat. We recommend making sure your dish is at least ¾ full when your using them in the microwave to distribute heat more evenly.

Not chip resistant
I purchased two boxes of the plates a year ago. Within the first month 5 plates had chips. I contacted Corelle and they said they would replace one box only once. After I received a new box and tossed the 5 chipped plates, I had 6 more plates with chips. I have owned Correlle dishes forever and never had chips. When they were old the coating would wear off the edges. They say dishwasher safe but they are not no matter how careful you are loading and unloading. This is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to replaces dishes every year.

The only ones I will buy...
I just finally decided to replace my old set of Corelle that my grandmother handed down to me when I got married almost 18 yrs ago. These are just like my old set...minus the floral pattern haha! Same quality, and feel, and cleans up so easily. The white is very crisp and clean. It will be easy to pair with any color for the holidays. My set did come with a chipped plate but Target was kind enough to send a free replacement.

The newest addition to the Corellw collection
I love everything about these white Corelle dinner plates. They’re easy to clean, lightweight, durable & timeless. I started my Corelle collection in 2015. Since then, only one bowl has cracked so far (that I can remember). I like that there are options in buying - as a full dinner set, by small bundles or individually. Personally, I buy the dishes separately and slowly build my collection. Though Corelle offers many cute designs, I prefer the plain-white color. My thought is that plain white will never go out of style.
