    My husband and I take Aloe every evening after dinner. It helps our digestion, and we really depend on it instead of medications. We have taken it for several years, and when we feel that we need it, we take it before meals, too. Only a tablespoon at a time. It really works for us.

    Research Carrageenan

    About 6 weeks ago I started taking this product and I became sick as a dog, not knowing why. The thickening agent in aloe gel, Carrageenan, aggravates my condition. I will use the aloe juice from now on. I still love Swanson's, but this was an experience that has made me much more careful from here on out.

    I have used a number of quality Aloe Vera Gel / Juice products over the decades, and I like this one the best. I keep it in the refrigerator, and I take a big swig right out of the bottle every morning. Good tasting and easy to use. Lots and lots of positives written about Aloe Vera over time. This Lily of the Desert Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Gel is the real deal. And to make it even better, I find it reasonably priced. And to make that even better, Swanson's price on this excellent product is several dollars less than the same product down at my neighborhood Natural Foods Market. Works for me.

    I've had aloe before and it didn't taste like this one. I can't give a good review because I can't bring myself to use it. I've tried to mix it with all kinds of beverages, with no help. Sorry..

    Wonderful Lotion

    I realize many people take aloe vera gel internally, but I have found this to be an excellent, non-greasy lotion! It's very refreshing, my skin loves it, and it has even diminished the redness I had on some areas. And, it's half the price of the local herb shop! Thanks Swanson! (I also use the Aloe Vera Juice of the same brand to make a homemade facial toner with water and vinegar, and it's great!)
