Harmful chemicals in Original fixodent tube

I've used original fixodent for over 35 years and this original fixodent today in stores has a harmful chemical inside the tube and if swallowed is harmful, a health hazard - The Fixodent Company needs to bring to laboratory and fix it and make it safe again !!

Our scientific research shows that the amount of zinc an average user absorbs from Fixodent is approximately 2 mg when used once per day as instructed. It is important to use denture adhesives as directed to prevent excessive and prolonged zinc intake reported to be associated with serious health problems, so if you are using other products containing zinc, it may be best to consult a doctor first. Fixodent Advanced

New user. Hate this product. It's glue and too hard to remove from the roof of my mouth. Need to use a spoon handle to scrape it off and also a tooth brush. Use my finger too. Wondering if Fixodent powder would be the same. Will not continue using this product.

We're confident that we can help you remove that excess residue with ease, Jayne! As you may know, as Fixodent absorbs excess water, the hold will loosen. If you haven't already, rinse your mouth with water-- as hot as is comfortable. After that, gently brush your gums with a soft-bristled toothbrush and regular toothpaste. If you still see residue, you may want to gently rub away the remaining adhesive with a damp cloth or gauze and a small amount of cooking oil or rinse your mouth with mouthwash. Give me back my original

I agree with the other people and their comments about the change in the original formula, I have used it for years and ya went and changed it to this horrible stuff that takes forever to "PRY " loose from gums

Originally this is not my own words, but I feel totally, totally the same way. Everything they said is what I think about the new boxes of Original Fixodent… Wondering why you took a great product like Fixodent and made such a drastic change to it and still call it "Original "? Have used the actual Original for many years, always happy with it. Your newly revised "original" product does not hold well or nearly as long as your old product did. Very hard to clean off too. Very much suggest that you go back to your old formula. Please don't send coupons, if anything send some of the actual original product that you may have in a back corner of your warehouse.

you changed the formula

After running out of my stock I had to buy new tubes which the package was changed and the formula has been changed because it does not hold like it used to now I have to buy more to re line every time before I eat. 0r I have to spend more for advanced formula. I will try other products as this company is chasing the buck on the cheap instead of providing quality.

It does not stick

I have used this product for a few years but it is not working now. It’s stays there for awhile then falls out but also when I put the plate in all the glue comes out and makes my mouth feel bad and can’t even wear my bottom ones cause they never stay in

WHY’D YOU CHANGE IT

This is the only stuff that works for me. BUT YOU CHANGED IT. And it SUCKS! The real original that came in the pink and light blue box/tube, the one pictured above, is GREAT! It had a medium pink paste and it lasted all day and night. I would have to pull it off 24 hours later to clean it. But you changed it. Now it’s in a pink and darker blue box and the denture paste itself is really light pink. It does NOT hold. I’m lucky if it stays for a couple hours. Eating? Doesn’t stay. Comes undone EVERY SINGLE TIME I EAT. I have to clean and reapply about 4 times a day. And it doesn’t give the same cushion feeling. My gums are grinding on my dentures. The actual original one had a bit of cushion. And almost expanded when you got it wet. I wish washer through after I put it in and it almost expanded a bit and get cushy. This new crap? Just stays as goo, no cushion, no seal, no staying. CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!

Please know that we have many quality checks in place to make sure that every tube of Fixodent is in great condition. We're sorry if this one isn't measuring up to our standards. We haven't made any changes to the actual Fixodent product, only a change to the packaging. Our denture adhesive should hold for 12 hours. If it is not lasting that long, it could be caused by the following. The fit of your dentures. Your nutritional health and saliva flow. Very hot or cold food. Changes in the condition of your gums or bone structure. The condition of your dentures. The medication you are taking. You are not following the proper instructions on how to use the product. What happened??

I don’t know what you did but this stuff is CRAP now. It looks different and it doesn’t hold near as good as it used too. Think I’ll try polident or some other brand now. Very disappointing

This product doesn't hold my dentures

I purchased it five days ago, and after usage it while this time I found out that this tube is half full. I was so disappointed because it costs too much for me. Only water and air go out from the tube...

you change the product and its horrible. It does nothing and it doesn't last why would you change something that worked well. Maybe you should go back to the real original formula and not the new formula which is useless

The change to hot pink is terrible!

Not sure what prompted the change but it doesn’t stick as well and looks terrible. Please go back to the way it was.

Not sure about it anymore.

I’ve used this brand a few times, I find it to be too thin for me personally but I usually keep a tube for emergencies. Recently though when I’ve used this brand, my mouth starts to feel like it’s burning. As soon as I put my dentures in with this on them, it burns and it doesn’t stop and It also makes food taste horrible (it’s not mint flavor, I don’t use that kind). Now I’ve used this brand off and on for years and I’ve never had a problem, so I don’t know if something changed in the formula or what but I do know that I now have an entire tube sitting in my cabinet that I can’t use because of the burning. I’m assuming it’s an allergy but like I said, I’ve used it before with no problem and now.. there’s a problem.

Poor customer service!!

I have had a couple of tubes of the sample given to me by my dentist over the months. Every one of them had a bubble in the tube. Uou only get about 1/2 of the tube! No way on the website to contact them!
