Sew Amazing Kids' Sewing Machine Kit for Beginners – Safe and Fun Age 8+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good wee sewing machine, but it is a toy so function is limited, it’s noisy and only straight stitch and no reverse. It has a light. Also too many workarounds required for example when removing the fabric you have sewn the thread jams so you have to pull it from elsewhere on machine so fiddly for a child. I felt it might put a child off sewing. The child I was buying it for is used to helping with my proper machine so I returned and I’m buying her a small version of a proper machine.

Great little safe machine for little fingers, particularly like the finger guard. Also ideal for adults & small projects. More than happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this sewing Station it was easy for her to set up on her own and use with the instructions on the side of the machine showing them how to thread the cotton through and with a easy to use foot pedal it even comes with a tape measurer for them to use for sizing up what they are sewing also comes with spear cotton reels and needles in a nice fancy pink tin to keep them safe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its simply great little machine, which is helpful for children to learn about basics of sewing. its simple, colourful and easy to use. the only thing which needs attention is its thread, it requires some time to understand and needs technique I would say. once its set up is complete then my daughter can make some clothes for her dolls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I’m pretty disappointed with this, I had high hopes but unfortunately it is just not very good. It is quite lightweight and small which isn’t necessarily a problem but it makes it so fiddly to thread and prepare for use. It got worse because the eye of the needle was pointing the wrong way around, side to side rather than front to back, I took the needle out to change it but found that it must be meant to be that way (doesn’t make sense to me and didn’t reflect the picture in the instructions) because there was one flat edge so it couldn’t go in any other way and the spares were all the same. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the needle back in properly, even after trying over and over again for about 15 minutes. So as it stands we haven’t been able to use the machine yet because I can’t get the needle back in. Maybe I’m missing something but I’ve followed the instructions to the letter. Beyond that I have to say that in 2021 I’m a bit disappointed with the branding, all pink, white and purple, even down to the thread provided, because sewing is for girls? What about girls who like other colours? What about boys who might want to sew? Do we really have to have it all quite so blatantly gendered? Why not just have it neutral?

It has all the accessories and can actually sew in it. I love the fact that anyone in the household can use it and it’s not complicated. It has a foot pedal which is good. It has two auto speed setting which is great. It’s easy to put away. It’s something I would recommend to all my friends and family and it’s good to give as a gift especially to those young ones who live to see and make their own stuff
