Q: whas the differance between m1500 & m1600

A: The 2 models are very similar in function and features. There are some cosmetic differences, but they will use the same accessories etc. They are both front load 15 class bobbin machines, Both have a 4 step buttonhole and the same stitch selection.

Please do not waste your money on this very poorly made very flimsy machine. The plastic machine part that holds the bobbin case snapped in half - major machine part. Cannot glue back - nothing. DO NOT BUY

Product came as described. But I was extremely disappointed in the way it was shipped. No target box or packaging. Literally they threw a sticker on the sewing machine box itself and left it at my door. 1) anyone could have seen what the item was and taken it. 2) this was supposed to be a surprise for my daughter. And as she walked up to the front door. She clearly saw what one of her Christmas gifts were. . . Cmon.

After using my Singer for 60 years, it was finally time to buy another. I thought this would be perfect since I only use it for repairs any more. The bobbin casing would move with the bobbin which would break the needle. I did everything I knew to make sure it was seated correctly but that did not help. I've learned that Singer sold out to a company overseas so you no longer get quality you can rely on. I would definitely not buy any new Singer!

Gave the M1000 machine a 4 because, I own a very complicated Bernina and found winding the bobbin on the M1000 quite a challenge. Instructions in book were not so helpful and the videos, once stopped at spots was OK. Finally figured it out. Amazing how a simple machine could have given me difficulty! But once wound and threaded, it sewed really well. Nice even stitches.

Easy and simple to use. Great for everyday fixes. Compact and light. Even though it only has one speed, it isn't an issue. I watched the Singer and YouTube videos which were super practical. I was not able to get the free in-person sewing lesson as advertised. The designated sewing centers said that they don't, and if they did, it would be just to show you how to thread the machine. The videos showed how to use all the features perfectly, and I could review them several times.

I have easily fixed so many articles of clothing for my 3 daughters. It is easy to setup and for even a beginner on a sewing machine the instructions are clear and it comes with everything you need to get started, minus the thread. One of the better sewing machines I have used, would definitely recommend.

First of all the description is a lie! This machine only has 6 stitch not 57!!??! It’s very very tiny! Returning it! Oh and it was delivered a block away! Thankfully I have great neighbors and they came and dropped it off.

This is lightweight and portable. Very basic machine teaching her the basics of what she needs to know. She was super excited to get it and personalized it to make it her own. It's perfect for her! Easy yo set up following the numbers to thread. Easy to fill the bobbin thread as well. Sewing was never made so easy! Perfect for the first timer.

I have always trusted the singer brand when it comes to sewing machines. I've been sewing since I was about 9 years old (now 40) and I've always had great experiences with the singer brand. It's a very straightforward machine and doesn't have a ton of fancy-hard to figure out features. This will do most everything you'd need as a household sewing machine. Runs smoothly and stitches nicely! Win win!

I have began taking quilting classes and I am moving along quite well using this sewing machine. It has enough power to run through my quilting with on problems, it is easy to thread, love the LED lighting and it is easy enough to carry around to my quilting class and from room to room in my house! It is quite durable and well made. I like the different stitchings I can choose from! This is a great product in my opinion.
