The LEGO Pokémon Charmander and Geodude's Cavern Clash set offers an engaging building experience for young fans, featuring colorful characters and a detailed cave setting that sparks creativity. While the interactive smart play features enhance playtime, the absence of a separately sold smart brick has disappointed some guests. Overall, this set provides a fun and imaginative adventure for children, making it a great addition to any LEGO collection.

Pointless
Seems pointless advertising as smart play when you cannot buy the smart bricks separately, you have to buy the Pikachu set (which only includes 1 X smart brick) or the charazard one (which has 2 X creatures and 2 X smart bricks) if the kids want them to interact they have to take one smart brick out of one then put it into the other. Rendering it clunky and somewhat pointless. Also frustrating for the children. To improve this, they should make it available to buy the smart bricks separately

Smart Brick not included OR sold separately
No smart brick. And you can’t buy the smart brick separate. You have to buy another set no less than $70, but typically much more, in order to get a smart brick.

No Smart Brick
Super disappointing you cannot buy Smart Bricks separately. This doesn’t make any sense.

Umm ok
7 year old received set as a gift for his birthday. No smart brick included, ok. Went hunting to find the smart brick. Not offered for sale individually. Seriously Lego? Smart play compatable but you're not going to offer the compatable piece. Seriously? Why even advertise and include the smart play tiles then? They're useless. Thanks for nothing.

Pokémon, So much Fun!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My niece loves Charmander so this was a super exciting build for her! I let her take the lead and just assisted with some of the trickier bits. The Smart Play cube added some excitement to the build. It was the perfect way to spend a rainy day.

Compatible with a samet brick you cannlt buy anywhere
This Lego set is compatible with "smart play," but Lego does not sell the “smart brick" separately. You need to purchase another set that includes the brick. I'm really disappointed about this.

Why?
Absolutely ridiculous. It says smart play etc. and in tiny letters it says smart brick not included…ok that’s fine. But I can’t buy the brick anywhere! So how are you supposed to play with two Pokémon at the same time? One son has pikachu which has the smart brick, the other charmander and no brick. A huge oversight by whoever had this idea. I’d have no problem dropping $ on a brick if they would just sell them individually.

Such a fun set- Charmander makes it even better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego Pokémon Charmander and Geodude's cavern clash smart play set was a huge hit with my kids! Charmander is one of their absolute favorite Pokémon characters, so they were excited about this set before they even started building it. One of the things that I'm impressed me most was how kid friendly the build was. My 6 year old and almost 8 year old built this entire set together with no assistance from me, and they had so much fun doing it. There are so many cool little details throughout the cavern, and once everything comes together, it makes an awesome display, as well as a really fun playset. The smart play feature was definitely their favorite part. They thought it was so cool that this set could react to how they moved and played with it. It adds a completely different level of interaction, compared to a traditional Lego set and kept them playing with it long after the build was finished. Between Charmander, Geodude, the cavern details, and the interactive smart play features, there is so much to love about this set. My kids have had an absolute blast with it, and having their favorite character, Charmander, as part of the set, made it even more special. Definitely one of their favorite Pokémon Lego sets!

Easy to follow instructions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lego Pokémon Charmander and Geodude’s Cavern Clash set includes four bags of numbered Lego sets. For purposes of this review, I will focus on the first bag. Instructions were overall very easy to follow. Step 18 was a little less obvious where some of the pieces went. Majority of pieces were easy to easy to assemble. Bag 1/Charmander took approximately ten minutes to assemble. Note this set is Smart Play compatible but does NOT include a smart brick. I received this product complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Encouraged lots of additional play after the build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son enjoyed the LEGO Pokémon Charmander and Geodude's Cavern Clash. The cave theme makes a great little setting for imaginative Pokémon battles, and the movable characters are adorable. The action features were the best part for him. Geodude can actually send pieces flying, which of course my eight year old loves, and the break-apart rock and hidden crystal gave him something to actively do with the set once he was finished building it. It's a relatively small set, but there is a surprising amount of play packed into it. A great addition to the other LEGO Pokémon SMART Play sets! He mixed this with a couple of the other Pokémon sets for a mega melee.

So fun but wish all had smart bricks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in exchange for my honest review. I love Lego brand because the booklets are so incredibly detailed and have easy to folllow instructions. I love that the Legos are in recycled packaging as well and no plastics. Very conscientious and eco friendly. My son and I had so much fun building this. We found that this didn’t come with the smart bricks and only certain builds came with them so I went searching how to get more and is unfortunate to find you can’t buy just smart bricks themselves. You can only purchase them through the bigger and more expensive builds. So if you get this smaller build you can’t experience the interactive capabilities that they can use when paired with the smart bricks. Still very fun but I think they all should have them or you should be able to purchase separately so all characters can have one.

Thank you for sharing your building experience with us and we're so glad to hear you and your son had fun building your set. You're correct, SMART Bricks only come with the All-in-one sets as these sets are a great starter for all Pokémon Trainers with everything, they need to begin their journey. You can then expand your play by adding SMART Brick compatible sets and recruit new Pokémon to your team! Find out more over at LEGO.build/PokemonLineup.

Angry mom
My son bought this with his money and as he’s putting it together he’s going crazy trying to find the “smart brick” labeled in bag 1 charmander book! Well no smart brick included after reading these confused buyers as well! So terrible! False advertising for young happy kids!! Pokemon went from Bricks to Lego and their ego got so big! Now where do you buy the dang “smart brick” SO THEY CAN INTERACT LIKE THE BOX SAYS… LEGO!!!!!

Great little set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 12 year old quickly put this set together in far less than an hour. She loves the figures. This set does not include the smart brick but we already have one from a previous set. Overall great set!

No brick
There’s no smart brick included. I’m not even sure how to get one. It’s marketed as being a smart one but there’s no brick. Two small figures for 20 and no brick. Lego sucks

Smart Bricks Confusing
My son liked the Lego itself, enjoyed building it, but was disappointed about not being able to get hold of smart bricks to use with it. It’s heavily marketed on the box as being smart brick compatible but you cannot buy an actual smart brick unless you buy an expensive all in one set, even then you only get one, how do three Pokémon figures work by sharing one brick? So we both found it confusing and upsetting. If it’s so hard to get the bricks why push that feature so much?

Teamwork and support.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys enjoyed building the Lego’s chaander and geodudes cavern clash. They pulled in teamwork to help each other out and it was fun watching them be creative and supportive doing the whole process.
