Q: Is this supposed to be watery?

submitted by Sihli118 - 7 months ago
  • A: I bought this today, 11/17/2025, and it squirts clear watery liquid. I shook it up, kneaded it, and it did slowly come out white cream. But later, after a while, it was water again.

I bought this in store. It was either expired or it is made out of terrible quality. There was a lot of liquid in it and the cream itself was separating and was impossible to actually apply on the baby.

    Gross

I bought this cream because it was less expensive and the same ingredients as Desitin and it is super watery no matter how much you shake it up. The consistency is gross. Worth it to spend the extra for the real stuff.

Hated this one- try the purple UpandUp one next

I would certainly not recommend this. The ointment separates fairly easily and due to the bottles design it cannot be re-shaken in order for the mixture to be re-homogenized. Also spreading this on your child’s bottom is difficult since it’s separated, so it’s an uneven spread as well. I think we may use us a few times and it’s going into the trashcan for good. However, I would recommend the target version of this. It is purple and is up and up should be right next to this one in the similar display area area that one I’ve had really good luck with, and I have not needed to shake that one up at all. It stays creamy for much longer longer.

    first miss for up&up products...

Grainy and SUPER runny. Pretty bummed about this and really hoping they revisit this product and make some improvements. Up&Up are the only diapering products my baby tolerates and would love to have this in our home.

This used to be great and work amazing on my baby. But now the formula is watery, messy, and not worth the 3 bucks.

Separates badly. You can get it creamy again by putting it in the fridge but shortly after taking it or again it reseperates. You cannot shake it to get it mixed together. Useless product

Watery cream - not worth it!

The formulation is terrible. Can't be called creamy at all when it's watery and separated. Doesn't even rub into skin because of the separation. Returning and buying the name brand.

    Do not buy

I bought this thinking it would be a decent comparison to name brand. Upon opening for first use, it separated and oil squirted out everywhere. The cream eventually came out, but very liquid-y. When i shook the bottle to see if I could get it to blend, it sounded like water inside. Seems like it separates as soon as the seal breaks. Spend the extra money and buy name brand

Cream and water are separated and it is unusable. I threw it away. I wish I had read the reviews before buying it. So disappointed because usually the Up&Up brand is a great value.

    Who approved this ish ?!?

Just like all of the other reviews, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! It is completely separated and is just a watery, clumpy mess! Impossible to even use on your child. Had to throw it away immediately after opening, as it was pouring watery oil out everywhere! Target you need a total rework on this because this is not it!
