Love this stuff. My son had a little diaper rash starting that was bothering him and this provided instant relief. I bought this to replace a name brand diaper rash and I like the Target brand better. It is thick and doesn't have a nasty odor. After a big wet diaper, there is still product left on him, so this does what it says it does.
Separates into water + paste (instead of staying consistently pastey)

I've used Desitin name brand maximum strength, this product, and a slew of other generic versions of Desitin as well.
This up and up brand is just like all other generic Desitin maximum strength pastes: it gets unnecessarily chunky and the essence of the paste coagulates, thus separating into two parts: water and paste.
So when you go to squeeze the bottle, water drips out before the paste make its entrance.
I find that a separated (water + paste) product is not as efficient in eliminating diaper rash, as a consistently pastey product.
I work for the pharmaceutical industry and believe in buying everything generic, as the efficacy does not ever, ever, ever get impacted.
However I can confidently say that Desitin maximum strength diaper rash cream is the only healthcare product I ever buy name brand. There's no comparison!
Since purchasing this item, I have had the opportunity to use Desitin samples from my pediatrician. I had wondered why the up and up brand seemed like it had sand in it. And it also was somewhat watery. I found that the Desitin brand does not have these issues. It is thick and creamy and does not have the rough granules in it.
