Nestle Toll House Scoop & Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Tub - 36oz

Opened the container when I got home and it was fingered… disgusting only in Stockton.

Makes great cookies? Yes..... A LOT of them! BUT more importantly.... Tastes amazing fresh out of the container (using a spoon, I am not a monster after all LOL) into my mouth! If you are like me and crave a little something sweet, this is great! A little spoonful ignites my happy dance.

Our go to. This is a staple in our house. Makes some of the best cookies.

I first noticed the change in the cookie dough a while ago but the convenience prevailed and I kept buying more, trying to ignore the bland taste and off putting color. Tonight was the end of the line though. As I was scooping out the dough I noticed it had almost a chemical like smell. Then after I baked them the smell became a little stronger. I didn't eat any of the cookies but my husband tried one and proceeded to tell me how awful it was. Nestle what did you do to the cookie dough recipe?? This is terrible. The dough was watery, had a chemical odor and according to my husband if it wasn't for the slight chemical taste there would've been no taste. Please correct this and go back to the original recipe.

I ordered this on June 9th, the expiration date was April 11th…

Why are these $9 now?! They were just $6 not even four months ago. This is ridiculous, and target you can keep the “buy one, get on 30% off” because these are just too unaffordable for the average American family.

I used to buy the cookie dough tub regularly and bake the cookies frequently, for many, many years. The cookies were a staple in my house. They were genuinely tasty and we loved them. As they baked, the house would have a wonderful aroma and we loved eating the warm freshly-baked cookies with a glass of milk. But along with an annoying change to the plastic tub itself that was much harder to open and use, the recipe for the dough was also changed. The consistency of the dough was different (grittier and wetter), and the color of the dough was lighter. After baking, the cookies no longer became an attractive golden brown but stayed an unappealing grayish tan. And the taste? They had less flavor. The chocolate itself had less flavor. Instead of enjoying a nice buttery brown sugar chocolatey taste, the cookies tasted as bland as they looked (like cardboard) and also sweet - way too sweet. We stopped buying the entire product line. It really is too bad, and very disappointing, that the company made such a huge change to a product that had been perfect in its original form and packaging, always greatly enjoyed, and instead destroyed its taste and appeal. Big mistake.

I've used this for years when I don't have time to make homemade cookies. The price has gone up so much, it's no longer a good value.

taste really good but they put WAYYYYYYYYYYY TOO MANY CHOCOLATE CHIPS i spent like 10 minutes picking out the EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF THEM the whole cookie ball WAS chocolate chips with the TINYEST amount of dough...

Not the same recipe! Even the packaging says: Our best cookie ever! That's a giveaway for a recipe change. I agree with another reviewer, bring back original and uncharge it Nestlé, c'mon! Don't Buy.

I'm embarrassed to admit how much of this product I used to consume-we're talking a nightly habit. It was my biggest grocery splurge. But since the ingredient ratio was adjusted, it's been inedible. Somehow it's both smoother and grainier when raw, and while it used to be the best thing I've ever tasted, now it has an almost chemical aftertaste (someone I offered a cookie to compared it to burned plastic). I couldn't even give my most recent purchase away-it ended up in the trash. I know we're all cutting corners right now, but Nestle, bring us back the cookie dough we miss. If you love your new ratio so much, you can call our old standard "Cookie Dough Original" or something and upcharge for it. We respect the grind. But your loyal fans are grieving what you've taken from us. (I know you're offering to email reviewers for more information about their experiences, but no need to contact me-I've already read your replies explaining the changes, and I know my experiences are aligned with many others'. Feel free to email me if you bring back the old recipe, though! )

This tub is addictive, and I love being able to scoop out just enough for a few freshly baked cookies!

We have been buying these for years, just recently picked up another tub. They changed the packaging but whatever right? They completely changed the recipe, the cookies are now gluey, and just don’t taste very good anymore. How disappointing. These have been the same cookies since I was a kid and now they changed them.

I love this tub of cookie dough. It is Nestle which always tastes amazing but this tub is perfect for making a few or many cookies. I did a few here and there which I loved.
