Definitely doesn’t smell like basil. I usually get the lemon scent but love basil so I thought I’d try this one. I should have read reviews first. Like other reviews say the smell lingers after washing your hands. The smell gave me a headache. I plan on returning for the lemon.

The soap works great for cleaning, it does its job. However the scent is overwhelming, I can still smell it on my hands well after washing them, even with unscented dish soap.

This is one of my favorite soap scents ever! The smell is intoxicating.. I can’t stop smelling my hands like the girl in Superstar. It’s fresh, herbal, sweet and actually lingers. It reminds me of basil with hints of amber, lemon, wood, honeysuckle, jasmine. The only problem for me is that it seems to dry my hands out quite a bit. I have really sensitive dry eczema-prone skin so others may not have this issue.
