Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day liquid dish soaps are specifically made to make grease disappear, while also providing a special, singular scent for your home. Basil has a cool, crisp scent that is uplifting & grounding, familiar & exotic – all at one time. Such an inviting herbal smell, the garden's friendly boost of green. This biodegradable dish soap cuts through grease yet is gentle enough for hand washing dishes, pots, and pans. Our biodegradable formula dish liquid cuts through grease and is designed for hand washing dishes, pots, and pans. The liquid dish detergent contains plant-derived cleaning agents and other thoughtfully chosen ingredients that make dishes clean and bright. It's a Dish Soap made without parabens, phthalates, or animal-derived ingredients. And of course, this is a cruelty-free formula product. Packaging contains recycled content. Bottle (less cap) is made with at least 30% post-consumer plastic. Also available in other garden-inspired scents and products such as Hand Soap and Multi-Surface Cleaner. Q: Is this dish soap safe to use as a hand soap too?

  • A: Hi there! While it would not be harmful, using our Dish Soap as a hand wash would not offer the same benefits as our Hand Soap would offer.     Not in love with the scent

    The soap works great, but I won’t purchase the Basil scent again. It does smell like basil, but it’s a bit too chemical-smelling for my liking.

    the ingredients are earth conscious

    i like this product because its all natural and plant based. i feel confident i am not polluting the environment with this. but it can sometimes leave an odd residue smell on some dishes, especially tupperware. the plastic seems to absorb the smell. that is unfortunate.

    The smell is nice and not too strong when washing the dishes, but it’s strange that the scent never completely goes away. Every dish retains the fragrance, and when I use them, it feels like I’m eating food with perfume. Disgusting…. I will never buy it again.
