Q: Your Tide Free and Clear HE says it is now 84 fl. oz. and it does 64 loads. I used to purchase 92 fl. oz. and it also said 64 poads. Is the product now somehow stronger?

  • A: With all of our liquid detergents, there was a change to the formula to make it more concentrated. This means that while there are fewer liquid oz in the package, you will still get the same number of cleaning loads.

Q: Is the 156 fluid ounces HE also? it is not on the top of the container did they just forget to put it there. I would like to know if it is also High Efficiency the 156 fluid ounce?

  • A: I called my local store and asked them to verify whether the 154 oz version (DPCI: 003-08-0159) is in fact High Efficiency (HE). They verified that it is HE. The person I spoke with said the HE logo is on the bottle — admittedly, I haven't yet purchased so I'm verifying this second hand.

Here’s a quick guide for Tide detergents: - Small/Medium loads: Fill the measuring cap to the fill line (usually bar 1 or line 1). - Large loads: Fill the cap to about bar 3 or line 2. - Extra Large (XL) loads or heavily soiled: Use two capfuls or fill to bar 5. Make sure to add the detergent after your machine fills with water and before adding clothes. Also, always check the specific product label for exact dosing.     Clean Clothes and Protected Skin

    The smell, or supposed to be lack thereof, isn't the best but you barely notice it. We put essential oils on our dryer balls and it makes the clothes smell subtle but amazing. This Tide cleans things but doesn't irritate our skin. With toddlers around, we definitely notice these things. Clothes actually look and feel clean, as opposed to other detergents we've tried. We just bought another thing of it.

    Removed fish oil smell

    It works, but it has too many chemicals

    Definitely fragrance free, leaves my clothes soft since i don’t use fabric softener. However it has too many chemicals. I usually use mollys suds with a couple of white zote flakes, decided to give this a try. It works and cleans clothes, doesn’t leave them smelling musty, but again, it just has too many chemicals in it.

    My go-to detergent for gym clothes and synthetics

    I started using Tide Free & Gentle Liquid after doing a deep dive into the r/laundry subreddit. I use the liquid specifically for my dark clothing, synthetic fabrics, and especially my gym clothes. It gets everything feeling and smelling genuinely clean without adding a heavy fragrance. It's been especially good for my workout clothes, which can develop that dreaded odor "rebloom" if they aren't washed properly. I have a Samsung HE washer and very hard water, and this still performs really well. I also only use about 3/4 of the recommended amount and get great results. This has become a staple in my laundry routine.

    Great for sensitive skin!

    We started using this when my son was born because he’s super super sensitive to anything with scent! I also switched to using it for my and my husband so that hour son doesn’t have a reaction to our clothing! It still cleans our clothes so well and refreshes them, but we’re no longer dealing with the breakouts from other scented detergent! It’s easy to pour and a great deal, especially at Costco!
