We're so sorry to hear you had this experience with our Tide Spring Meadow HE Liquid Laundry Detergent. It must upsetting that the scent was stronger than you expected it to be. We understand that scent is very subjective, but this is definitely not the type of experience we want you to go through. This could be caused by the product being exposed to extreme heat or cold. Always store the product in a cool (but not cold), dry place. Additionally, if the product is very old this has the potential to affect the perfume. We recommend you use the product within a year, and to store it in a dry room at room temperature. And, please try not mixing a detergent like the Free & Gentle as it is specifically formulated for sensitive skin and to be dye & scent-free. Incorrect dosage could be the cause of too much scent remaining after the wash. And, if you have used a fabric softener this can also affect the scent left on the clothes after the wash. Now, to remove the odor: - Rewash with the hottest water safe for the fabric, using the recommended amount of detergent and fabric softener. - If item is bleach-safe, use bleach while washing. - One cup of vinegar can be added to wash, if not bleach safe. - Be sure to check owner’s manual on how to clean out machine or do service wash on machine. Our bottles are designed and filled to allow for proper pouring. Liquids are filled by volume, in fluid ounces (eg. 62 FL OZ liquid).
