Q: Why is HE on the front top of the bottle but is not high efficiency? This is misleading and led me to believe the product I was purchasing is HE. I think it's a marketing scam that needs attention.

My go-to detergent for gym clothes and synthetics

I started using Tide Free & Gentle Liquid after doing a deep dive into the r/laundry subreddit. I use the liquid specifically for my dark clothing, synthetic fabrics, and especially my gym clothes. It gets everything feeling and smelling genuinely clean without adding a heavy fragrance. It's been especially good for my workout clothes, which can develop that dreaded odor "rebloom" if they aren't washed properly. I have a Samsung HE washer and very hard water, and this still performs really well. I also only use about 3/4 of the recommended amount and get great results. This has become a staple in my laundry routine.

Great for sensitive skin!

We started using this when my son was born because he’s super super sensitive to anything with scent! I also switched to using it for my and my husband so that hour son doesn’t have a reaction to our clothing! It still cleans our clothes so well and refreshes them, but we’re no longer dealing with the breakouts from other scented detergent! It’s easy to pour and a great deal, especially at Costco!

Safe for babies

This is the only detergent we use for our baby and the entire family. Clothes doesn’t have that fresh laundry scent but it gets the job done and free of fragrant chemicals

It works

My two younger sons and I have eczema-prone skin and I also have sensitivity to fragrance, and none of us have ever had reactions wearing clothes, sleeping on sheets, or using towels washed in Tide Free & Gentle. My workout clothes and my oldest son’s sport uniforms come out clean and fresh-smelling as well. If your family has sensitivity to dye or fragrance, I highly recommend this detergent and continue to purchase this for our home.

Gentle on sensitive skin and fragrance free, great for newborns!

This is my go to laundry detergent for my newborn’s clothing. It is gentle on her sensitive skin, and I love that it is fragrance free. I also use this on my own clothing as I have sensitive skin as well.

Cleans clothes well, no residue or fragrance

It says unscented, but I smell something that reminds me of cleaning chemicals. There’s no sand after they’ve been washed, rinsed, and dry. We had no skin irritation and it cleaned our clothes very well. I prefer more natural cleaners, but this detergent did clean my toddlers clothes well.

New Formula New Skin Reactions

Really want to know who at Tide thought it would be a good idea to add more chemicals to a laundry detergent that's supposed to be for sensitive skin. This "new and improved" formula is making my skin itch and feels like it's burning. I've been using Tide Free and Gentle for years and NEVER had any issues. Why improve something that didn't need to be improved? Now I'm going to have to find a new laundry detergent and hope I don't break out in a rash or hives. Thanks, Tide.

I don't really know how well this detergent works because I haven't used this particularly brand of Tide before, but I do know that Tide in it's own rite is a great detergient.
