Q: Is this detergent ideal and safe to use on merino wool?

  • A: Thank you for reaching out regarding our Fresh Lavender Scent Liquid Laundry Detergent. Our liquid laundry detergents contain enzymes to help break down tough stains on clothes and are suitable for washing almost any type of fabric, including production wool (Smartwool, Ibex, Icebreaker, etc). We do suggest being cautious when using fine silk or fine/virgin wool, since enzymes can break down the fragile fibers. If you are concerned about the enzymes in the liquid laundry detergent, you can try our Dish Soap to hand-wash your wool garments. The Dish Soap contains many of the same cleaning agents as the laundry detergent but does not contain the enzymes. We hope this helps!

  • A: Thanks for reaching out! Our Fresh Lavender Liquid Laundry Detergent Soap can be used on items such as luxury bamboo sheets. We recommend that you use less detergent and do not use other laundry additives such as fabric softener or bleaching agents. Detergent residue is not good for the down; so it is a good idea to use an extra rinse cycle. If you chose to use a powder detergent, it is recommended that you dissolve the powder to put it in the dispenser. This will prevent clumps of powder from collecting on the down items.

Q: What is the difference between concentrated and this one? Is it just how much soap you need to use? I see a 40 oz bottle of concentrated for 53 loads, but this is 90 oz for 60 loads.

    Horrible, lingering hives and itchy skin.

    I have sensitive skin so I purchased this thinking it would be good for my skin. WRONG!!! I broke out in horrible hives on both of my arms and my neck. Here it is almost a week later, and the hives are still there. Tide makes my skin itch which is why I don’t use it, but this is the worst reaction I’ve ever had to a laundry detergent.

    I ordered this online because I had a coupon. if you can't buy it in the store I would suggest not buying it smells absolutely horrible!!!! I thought maybe, just maybe once it's actually used the smell will be better...? Oh no, the laundry smelled like absolute garbage with a mix of essential oil.

    fresh and clean

    This is the only laundry detergent I use. A couple years ago I decided I no longer liked all the perfume-y smells of the big brand, I found this one and really enjoy the very faint smell of lavender it leaves behind. I believe it cleans my clothes well.
