  • A: I have a HE washer, and if I use the amount you recommend, my items still have soap in them after a wash - I need to re-wash them a second or even third time to get the soap all out. So personally I would use much much less than 3/4 cup per load - even a quarter cup sometimes leaves soap on my items. One reason for that is the HE washer may use very little water…

    Good product Bad delivery

    I've used this product for years and love it but usually pick it up at the store. This time I had it shipped. Minutes after delivery I found a sopping wet carton on my front porch and detergent running all over and into my garden. Inside the carton a gallon bottle was on its side and most of its contents had leaked out of the loosened top. The next day, it took a full hour to wash the detergent and suds from my porch. I hope my garden plants survive being flooded with soapy water. My hose connector actually broke apart from the hose after an hour of heavy pressure . I'm sure my water bill will be substantial. The packing of this product was irresponsible and neglegent. I called Customer Service and the purchase price was refunded but my loss in time, damage and costs was far more.

    Too many suds

    This produces so many suds and trips my washer’s sensor so it is constantly pausing the wash cycle because it can’t drain. I bought it because it’s fragrance free, but I will have to find something else.

    Love this unscented detergent

    I love this detergent. I’ve tried several other unscented detergents before (even the “name brand” expensive ones. This one leaves my laundry still smelling fresh instead of just “wet”. It cleans all of our family’s clothes well too, even my 3 young kids’. Highly recommend.

    Contains both Methylisothiazolinone and Benzisothiazolinone

    Methylisothiazolinone and Benzisothiazolinone are known skin sensitizers and will cause allergic contact dermatitis over time. Avoid these ingredients if you have sensitive skin.

    Great detergent

    Literal life saver!

    I’m so allergic to all detergents. I have an allergy to the chemical that’s in febreeze (hives) as well as a latex allergy (anaphylaxis), garlic allergy (anaphylaxis), and sunflower allergy (all derivatives, hives) as well as kelp (hives), and shellfish (anaphalaxis.) I’ve tried the free & clear version of the following brands: All, Dreft, Arm & Hammer, Tide, Gain, and 7th generation, and Kirkland all made me feel as if I was in a torture chamber. I tried every single one of their “free and clear” options and was genuinely panicking about how I’d simply wash my clothes without making my own ash & lye. You can buy a small little bottle of this detergent and so you don’t have to be married to it from the get go. In six years of my immune system just being disastrous, this is the ONLY brand that has saved my life. I wish I could handle scented detergents. While I can’t promise you that this detergent will be safe from you or your family’s allergy profile, I can assure you that it has saved mine. It’s a pretty good detergent, too! And it’s one of the safest detergents for the environment. You also barely need any of this detergent for it to work. Less than a quarter. If you do more, it’ll build up and make your clothes gross. My husband and I disagree whether we’ve had one or two bottles of this in the last six years, either way the detergent LASTS. Wishing you all health & function!

    Allergic reaction

    Don't use this!

    I do not recommend using this laundry detergent! The smell coming from my washer and going all the way down the hallway in my house was terrible! I thought something was wrong with the washer so I had a service person come………two hundred dollars later, it still smelled so bad! I decided to try a different laundry detergent and then the smell was gone. I cannot believe a laundry detergent could cause my house to smell. This is ridiculous!
