I’ve tried all the scents and unscented and love them all! Takes up less space, no measuring or sticky cups. There’s a lot of reviews complaining about the easy dose not working but I’ve never had a problem and have purchased over a dozen. I have a top load he and use one squirt for regular, 2 for deep wash and 3 for bulky/sheets. Clothes always come out clean and smell great.

I've been a long-time 7th Gen customer, and decided to try this product because of the smaller packaging. However, the bottle design is horrible. There's no way to "squeeze" out any amount because when I tilt the bottle, it just pours out. I have no way of knowing how much I'm using, AND it makes a huge mess--just like the larger bottles. So disappointing.

The easy dose cap does not work as advertised. The bottle says “squeeze drinks into dispenser or washer until liquid stop”. However the liquid does not stop if I keep squeezing. Whatever mechanism that’s meant to stop the liquid does not work. Liquid also comes out as soon as I turn it upside down even if I don’t squeeze. This makes it hard to put in a consistent amount of detergent. I plan to return it.

The easy dose feature usually doesn't even work. Flipping the bottle and squeezing will usually just continue dispensing detergent until you stop squeezing. I accidentally put probably 3 loads worth of detergent in my washer and now my clothes have a very strong herby/earthy odor. Did they even test this "feature"? Speaking of odor, it's not great. I would prefer a "cleaner" smell, this smell is kind of bad. Not getting this again.

Typically love this brand, and this line of their laundry detergent, but this one left weird oil stains on our clothes. Took using dishsoap and rewashing a couple times in their "regular" detergent for it to finally come out. Smelled nice though!

The Dispenser Does Not Operate as Described

Unfortunately, the promised "easy dose" feature was a complete failure. When I opened the cap, laundry liquid began pouring out of the opening long before the bottle reached the completely upside-down position featured in Seventh Generation's video. I even tried to "prime" the bottle once or twice, but the laundry liquid just kept pouring out. With no way to easily dispense and measure the product, and no idea how much I ought to be using when the "one firm squeeze" instruction fails, I'm returning this for a refund.

I have tried my fair share of natural/mostly natural detergents and soaps over the past 30 years; soap nuts, Ecos, Nellie’s, Molly’s, Method, Honest, Dropps, Tru Earth, 9th Element, Zum, Meyer’s, Dirty Lab, DIY, Everspring, sheet style, Sal’s Suds, BioKleen, other Seventh Generation, and others I can’t recall the names and this has been the ONLY one that has risen above all the rest. It removes stains in cold water in my front loader so now I use less stain pretreaters and don’t have to rewash anything that I might have missed pretreating. And the only one that has reliable prevented any funky smells on towels. I have a few old kitchen washcloths that would get funky smelling after 3 days of use after drying completely between uses; no more. My towels have never been fluffier. Also, I’ve had no itching with my sensitive skin and I like the fresh scent. I’ve found it is a more pronounced scent, but not overwhelming when clothes are dried. It takes a bit to master the squeeze dispenser but a quick flip of the bottle upside down, a quick and firm squeeze, and the a quick flip back upright and it doesn’t squeeze more than 2 teaspoons into my liquid dispenser.

I have used it on 6 loads of wash a tiny bit (.2 oz) gets stains out, including my egg roll grease. The smell is super light and reminds me of all the other natural soaps I've used ( Dr. Bronners smells the same) I use it because I have itchy skin from scented soap.

I have no real complaints regarding the cleaning power (though I only used it for kitchen towels and some regular daily laundry -- nothing super dirty). The dosing cap is okay enough if you give it a real hard squeeze. Ultimately, I had to return this and go with a similar brand because I couldn't tolerate the smell. It's more earthy and floral than just the typical clean laundry or linen scent. It smells similar to patchouli or incense...and not in a great way. I don't often return items, but this one had to go back because I couldn't use it for hardly anything. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't. PS: Shoutout to Target for having no way to change my display name from "Absolutely Terrible" after years of multiple calls with their service center. I hope everyone enjoys seeing it here because it can't be fixed. Woohoo.

A firm squeeze held exactly upside down yields approximately 20 ml, not 10ml as stated on the label. This means, it’s dispensing a “heavy load” each time. The bottle only lasts about 34 squeezes and not 66. When a second squeeze is given without flipping the bottle back right side up, it dispenses about 15ml. Still not the 10ml. We tested this with multiple bottles and multiple squeezers. It’s hard to judge performance since we have been washing all our clothes with a “heavy load” dose. All we can do is trust that the company actually did concentrate it correctly. We really liked the version in the paper carton but had to switch to this when our store did. We are all for shipping less water and using less plastic. It is Not mess free. It drips and creates a ring on the counter. My hands are sticky after. We had no mess with the paper carton version. We appreciate the companies efforts to sustainability, but we feel they have miss lead the public on this product.
