The Free & Clear Automatic Dishwasher Detergent Gel has been discontinued, but we do offer a Free & Clear version of the Dishwasher Detergent Powder and the Dishwasher Detergent Packs. The Seventh Generation Dish Detergents contain no chlorine bleach, phosphates or synthetic fragrances. We hope this helps!

Our goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate plastic use. Here are our three main strategies: Recycled Materials: We use post-consumer recycled materials in our packaging. Many of our bottles are 100% recycled, and 97.5% of our packaging is recyclable. We also use bioplastic resin from sugarcane to reduce virgin petroleum use. Less Plastic: We develop products with significantly less plastic. For example, our Ultra Concentrated Easy Dose laundry detergent uses 60% less plastic, 50% less water, and is 75% lighter than our 100oz bottle. Plastic-Free Alternatives: We have a team dedicated to finding plastic-free solutions. Our Zero Plastic line includes Bathroom Cleaner Powder, Toilet Bowl Cleaner Powder, and Hand Wash Powder, all in recyclable steel canisters. A: I have well water, minerals, and prerinse dishes. I use about one half once on the short cycle. It works fine.

I don’t know HOW this product is rated so high. Doesn’t come close to Cascade! I have to use double the amount and run on tough, with Cascade Platinum I can leave the dishes dirtier and run it on normal and it still cleans perfectly!

Efficient with Great Cleaning Results!
I am trying to reduce the impact of plastic in our kitchen. I wanted dishwasher detergent because i read that the little dishwasher detergent packs films are made of plastic and I would like to eliminate that. We also have a small kitchen space and we need to do more frequent loads of dishes (top rack or bottom rack only), and always using a full pack of detergent feels like a waste to me. I was also looking to find detergent that contained less artificial scent and toxic chemicals. After extensive searching, I decided to give 7th generation a try. I'm very happy with the outcome so far! We've been using this dishwasher detergent for about a month now. I just follow the measurement lines in my dishwasher to fill up the detergent, and my dishes have been coming out of the dishwasher fresh and clean! The detergent itself doesn't have strong artificial scent, which i appreciate. Lastly, (although I have no way of proofing) I read that 7th generation bottles are recycled materials, which is something I appreciate!

I had been buying this for several years, and only recently realized that my dishwasher was not the reason I needed to hand wash some dishes after a cycle-it was this detergent.
