Q: With regard to using 1 or 2 pods/load, please provide specific info on what constitutes a "large" load in terms of volume, weight, etc. Otherwise, it's both subjective and varies by washer capacities.

A: This is an excellent question. Washing machines have different capacities that may affect load sizes. We recommend you first check the manual for your machine. In the meantime, when a washing machine drum is around half full, you have a medium or regular wash load. For a large load, the machine will be about three quarters of the way full and for an extra large load, fill the drum. But, be careful not to overload your machine, since clothes need to be able to move freely. If you have other questions, or if we can help further, please give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

Q: Has Tide changed the formula for the free & gentle pods? They used to be a milky white color but now they are yellow. I'm afraid the new formula will cause me to break out.

A: [10:09 AM] West, Matthew Carcinogen is not intentionally added ingredient in any of P&G’s products. Because arsenic is in the naturally occurring in the environment, arsenic is found in trace amounts widely across many products such as food and cleaning products. The results shared by CR are very low, safe levels, well below any established safety limits for a cleaning product.

I have tried many free and clear type detergents in the past. Some brands didn’t do a good job cleaning the clothes, while others stripped the color. And others said they worked in warm or cold water but there was powdered detergent that didn’t fully dissolve. I’m my opinion, Tide free and clear works the best!

My mom always used tide when I was young but she couldn’t wash my clothes in it I was allergic to the chemicals in it. So them coming up with “Free and Clear “ was the best thing they could have ever done. A great product, gets your whites white and your colors stain free and clean. I go back and forth between Tide and All clear and free. Pricing can get a little high but it’s a great product.

These things are a gemic, let's start off with the pods themselves whats all the warning labels on the back "don't get them on you"? If you're not supposed to get it on you then why put it in you clothes fibers, smart. Second these thing's are not gentle to skin there is something with tide pods all of them no matter the kind they make your clothes insanely itching and irritating. Third I've used many laundry soaps, and none, absolutely none have ruined my clothes like tide pods have. My clothes fit way tighter like they have shrunk way pass shrunken, and the fibers are getting brittle like there is a thin plastic coating over the fibers. Forth the pod liners don't fully dissolve a few times taking the laundry out of the washer the liners will be haning from the clothes, well what's left of it anyway.

My husband and I have been suffering from severe allergic reactions after using Tide Pods HE - Free & Gentle, and this product is anything but gentle! After just a few uses, we broke out in unbearable itching and painful hives. I ended up in the doctor’s office needing not one, but two shots—an allergy shot, a steroid shot—and was prescribed medication to manage the severity of my reaction. I’ve never had hives in my life until using this product, and to make matters worse, I’ve since discovered that many others are experiencing the same frightening reactions. These pods are causing dangerous health problems, and I am still dealing with the painful effects of the hives! The ingredients in this product are far from safe, and the fact that it’s being marketed as ‘gentle’ is not only misleading but negligent. I even used this on my daughter’s clothes, which is terrifying to think about now. This product should not just come with a warning—it needs to be completely removed from Target shelves to protect consumers. I will never trust Tide again, and Target should take immediate action to remove such a harmful product before more people suffer. I’ll be reaching out to Tide and expect an investigation into these toxic pods
