Q: I get blue stains on some of my clothing occasionally. What causes that?

A: The most common cause of this is not placing PODS™ in the empty washing drum, before the clothing. They need agitation and water to ensure they fully dissolve, and placing them on top doesn't allow for this. We also advise against quick wash cycles, as they may not provide enough water. Rewashing will get rid of any residue left over. Give us a call at (800) 879-8433 and we'll be happy to look into this further with you.

A: That is an excellent question. Our Tide PODS™ have a shelf life of 15 months, and we recommend using them within 12 months after purchase. A: Hi Carol. For most of our Tide PODS™ products there is no fabric softener included. However, our Tide PLUS Downy has a touch of Downy softness for your clothes. We offer it in a regular and an unscented version as well. If you have any other questions, give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

However, some products contain ingredients to help preserve the product and kill bacteria, and some of these ingredients may release a small amount of formaldehyde. Q: Most pods recommend using 2 pods for large or heavily soiled clothes. Will one of these clean a large load? If I have to use 2 pods that doubles the already high cost for this brand

Very good pods, but the scent is too strong to my liking and lingers for days. If you’re all for strong and long lasting scents, then go for it. I’ll pass because this is causing me a headache.

The fragrance was changed and smells ten times stronger

They have changed the fragrance again. They are way too strong and made us break out into itchy hives. If you're very sensitive to fragrance and have sensitive skin, you should definitely avoid this one. I'm returning these asap!! I'll just go back to the fragrance free pods which worked out great for us before.

I have had it up to here with tide changing the scent of their products while keeping the same label. I have a lot of sensory with smells and I’ve used the tide original pods for years and loved them. They recently added “cold water clean” to the label, but no change to scent. And then with this latest batch- same labeling- they smell completely different. Somehow both more floral and acidic? It’s terrible. I’m using mountain spring powder for now but I am upset. They have done this so many times over the years and it’s beyond frustrating.

These pods are terrible. They don't get our clothes clean and always leave sticky residue from the melted plastic on our clothes. We have to run multiple loads and our clothes still aren't clean.

We're so very sorry to hear about this. These pods are water soluble, so if they aren't getting enough contact with water, there can be a residue left over, and your fabrics may not get as clean as you would expect. We suggest adding the pod to the washer before your fabrics, and make sure your load isn't too load, and make sure the load doesn't have many absorbent items in there too. This should prevent these things from happening, but we'd love to make sure, gather some additional details, and help you further. We can be reached at (800) 879-8433.

I have been using tide original powder for 30 years been very satisfied until I decided to switch to pods original thinking is the same light fresh smell product but that was not the case, too much perfume that smells like flowers or some bathroom spray… terrible mistake by tide you have ruined your wonderful brand ..

I bought these after trying the hygienic clean tide pods. While these don’t stink as bad as the hygienic clean. The scent is still strong. I can’t use these. Seems like Tide has changed the formula. It’s a very strong perfume scent. It’s impossible to get out.
