The crumbs were far too large and did not want to stay on my food. I always use panko crumbs to make fried chicken nuggets, but a different brand that Target doesn’t carry. I was so disappointed in these that I just threw them away mid-use.

I wouldn't even call this panko. This is not light and flaky like panko. The pices are large, rounded, not delicate and airy. Go with Kikkoman.

I like them
I have not looked at the amount in the canister yet when I use it. a lot of the reviews are saying that it is hard empty. I will look before pouring next time I open a new one. but to the other reviews saying they are hard pebbles, I don't find them that way. it isn't much cheaper that the name brand but I have not found anything wrong with them. they give a nice crunch. I use them for mostly chicken Parmesan.

These are absolutely terrible ~ rock hard pebbles even after mixing with melted butter for the topping on Mac & Cheese ~ ruined the dish. Texture nothing like real panko, & hard enough to potentially break a tooth.

You’re paying for a half full bottle of panko. Why even use this big of a canister? Other store brand panko comes full. This is a brand new, unused bottle.

These were more like hard pebbled bread crumbs. Not the panko texture I’m used to. My chicken came out more like a karaage type and tasted good, but it is not panko. If I were making Katsu I’d have been bummed.

Best mixed with other crumbs
It’s not the most high quality Panko breading on the market but the price per ounce is pretty fair. My complaint is that the crumbs are never the same, the balance of large to small pieces differs from each container I buy and I feel like I shouldn’t have to further crush the crumbs. One thing I will suggest is mixing them with the Italian breadcrumbs of the same brand. I’ve notice my chicken coating is much thicker and crispier when mixing them together.
