Shake 'N Bake Extra Crispy Seasoned Coating Mix - 5oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, so want me to start off by saying that I’m a fried chicken girl made from scratch so I took a lot of crap making this in my kitchen and it was good. It had some flavor if you look at my pictures we made two batches made one regular batch the other one was made with a recipe that was on the box with the barbecue chicken underneath with the barbecue sauce underneath it was very crispy and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five stars was because I didn’t get consistent coverage and following the directions to the key on the box for both of them they just in the box had a family sized pack of chicken broke it into two there was two packs in the box followed everything to size taste wise perfect but it just wasn’t enough. I’m a southern girl like I said I love fried chicken. This was good if I had to do this for a different reason I would have added to I could’ve added ingredients I could’ve done this. I could’ve done that, but I didn’t. I did what I was supposed to do. We did it how we were supposed to didn’t add anything like I said recipe to the box and it was OK. It was different, but it was good on a quick night. I think it’s fantastic but to replace good old fried chicken no I think this is good for a quick out the door run of the meal. I think it actually could be honest with you. I really think it would be great as a replacement for or in addition to, I should say cornflake fried chicken like this with mixed in with my flour for fried chicken see now I wanna taste that I need to do that and that should be a recipe on the box but oh no, it was good and I’m glad I got the chance to do this and paste it because otherwise it never would’ve made it to my house and it will say I’ve never had barbecue sauce up underneath anything like that and that was decent needs a little more barbecue sauce I will say that you need to add more barbecue sauce to that recipe a little dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other brands but after trying this I am sold!!! The crispy crunch of my porkchops was so good. Preparation was easy…I put a bit of ranch dressing on them first and then sprinkled the Shake’N Bake onto them. Repeated on other side. Placed on a baking rack with a liner under them and put them in the air fryer. Cleanup was so easy.

The versatility is that it can be used on any type of chicken. It is very easy to use and comes with the breading already made and the bag to shake your chicken in. There are two pouches in each box so it makes more than one meal.

Then I saw this and noticed it said extra crispy on the packaging and tossed this box in my cart. And of course I used my air fryer to cook and covered the chicken all over. It cooked so easy in the air fryer. My family devoured it! I also made a new recipe of Korean BBQ corn and I am so happy to have spruced up my kitchen storage area which made me realized time for new recipes! I followed the instructions on the packaging and might play around with it for Thanksgiving.

The box comes with two packages but I only needed one for my chicken which was a good value. The texture actually stayed crunchy and the seasoning had a surprising peppery kick to it (which I liked). Overall pretty good.

Tastes amazing with the chicken I made, gives them a great crunch! Extra might I add compared to the normal coating mixes. Sticks and stays on great. A little can go a long way. Can also be used to add a crispy coating to shrimp, calamari, chicken, or even some veggies. There is a great coconut shrimp recipe on the back as well. I definitely recommend, and for the price as well. It is worth your money.

I liked the quick convenience of an already mixed seasoning packet. Simple instructions and quick cooking time. My chicken came out drier than I would have liked. Also would love a gluten-free option of this product.

It is incredibly convenient when you are in a rush, and the food came out flavorful and ready in a jiffy. The only downside for me was that the mix turned out spicier than I expected, and I am not a fan of spicy foods. Aside from that, the flavor was amazing, and I would’ve enjoyed it even more if it were milder.

It’s very flavorful, although a little too much salt, it is very good. It’s easy to use and coat onto the chicken. It is a good amount of product with leftover to be used on the next batch. Overall great and easy to use when cooking for the family.
