A: You could use it for an outside event, and if it rained, and you wiped it off right away, it would be OK. However, I would not let it outside all the time.

A: I love these chairs. When we have guest they come handy. I do not use outside unless it's for a short time like a couple of hours, but I would not leave out in the weather because of the steel frame and the vinyl padding is a bit thin. I feel these chairs are made for short term indoor use, when extra seating is needed.

Problem is that the seat is not large enough, and causes legs to hang over. While the depth is same as other chairs I have the frame is too far up so hou cannot sit back far enough in the seat area, which causes your legs to hang forward half way in the thigh area. And I'm 5'4"

Don't bother
Cheap chair. First one we bought, the back broke off within a week. Replaced it with identical new chair, back started breaking off in a week and completely broke off 2 months later. Shows signs of rust on the broken back and this chair has never been exposed to water or outside air since we brought it home. None of us sit in it with enough pressure on the back to make it break. Cheaply constructed and not worth the money.
